Wow i genuinely think this is gonna see some plays, its a free body + a better or worse dd crow depending on the situation.
It can also be used to dodge DD Crow or Bystials. This card is absolutely cracked.
Oh. My. God.
They actually did it. They powercrept Monster Reborn. Who cares if you can’t use the effect or attack it with it? You were just gonna use it as material anyway. What’s important is that this is a quick play, so you can use it as disruption against things like Promethean Princess, or as anti-disruption against things like DD Crow.
This card isn’t just good. It’s the best V-Jump Promo since Crossout Designator.

It says “Cant attack” and “Cant Activate effects”.
Meaning effects like IP Masq’s protection or D/D/D Leonidas LP gain effect can still work since their effects arent negated for the rest od the turn, they just cant activate said effects.
This card is pretty good. Can punish to steal key monsters and use them foe yourself or disruption for a free body, or a free summon extender for any archtype or locks or just summon Barrier Statue from the gy.

this is basically a called by which gives you a free link material. huh
Now because when you chain this card to the monster its effect has been already activated so it will resolve HOWEVER is a better D.D Crow and against link decks is DOPE

one thing I found kinda neat, this card does not fully negate the monster effect, it only restricts you to activate it.
imagine stealing dpe from GY during standby phase. Caught your opponent’s guard. This card easy 8/10 for me because versatility. Tribute summon, ritual, fusion, synchro, xyz and link decks can get benefit playing this card for more tribute fodder or extra materials. Especially if the monsters triggered by just sent from field to GY e.g.: Gouki. Even you can utilize xyz monster that has xyz monster as material, detaching it and summon back via this card and stack it to xyz summon again like galaxy-eyes xyz monsters, cyber dragon infinity, etc
If the English version isn’t called “Reborn the Monster,” I’ll be very disappointed.
The name supposed to be the line Atem said when he activated the card, so changing it into “Reborn the Monster” kinda weird, i never heard someone said that
It was what Monster Reborn was first called in the earlier episodes of the dub.

Yes I remember when Dark Magician secretly had haste. I would love a Magic Card “Yūgō” referencing to the manga panel when Poly was activated in response to Obelisk’s attack, to fuse Revival Slime with Metal Refelct Slime but if this is the lazy route they’re going to take then no thanks.
Since Spell Card: “Monster Reborn” has Monster Reborn in quotes, does this mean it can be searched off cards the specifically mention “Monster Reborn”?
