Seemingly no airplane reference this time.

Both cards are really good especially the Spell. I wish the new monster’s on field banish was also on quick effect but it’s nice how you can activate the Continuous Traps much faster now and another good extender for the deck.
The level 4 is going to cause another snake rain situation where Konami has to be very careful what they make continuous trap effects. If it were a quick effect it would be absolutely broken. You can just splash RoTA and this into a stun deck
Qardan already does that but better, because it can set from the graveyard.
Qardan isn’t searchable and uses up your Normal, whereas Parthe is searchable and the new Spell comboes with it well even outside of its archetype so it doesn’t eat up your Normal.
Neither one is strictly better than the other which is the point. One has more consistency and the other more coverage.
Dammit, who let Baelz get into the cards
I guess only two monsters representing the seven characters remain now? Just a guess tbh
The archetype gets more and more interesting, and with all of the quick effect non destroying removal, I can see it being at least splashable in some decks.
However the problem is that it still relys on the field spell to do anything stand alone, and even though this deck is very quick effect based, there is still no archetype internal way to get it onto the field on the opponents turn if you didnt draw the right cards.
So while the new way to search is very appreciated, because it gives another way to grab the field spell, there is still something more needed which removes at least 1 if the limmitig factors of the deck (traps not being able to be activated the turn they were normally set, some of the monster effects not being quick, the fielspell not being able to be quick placed on the field, and the banished monster requirement in a deck where monsters are at a premium)
You could use the Seventh tachyon and seventh ascension they both search the warriors, who can use Tydel (purple trap) to search the field spell.
Wonky quartet is rlly good with this as u easily give control to opp, and then can go into C104 UH masquerade. Using seventh ascension/ RUM SEventh one who will trigger on quartet to halve opp lp: before dealing 3200 damage to them, leaving only 800 lp left.
Thats… utterly insane
I need to look that up, because if this actually works im playing this combo xD
I was kinda hoping for a Xyz Monster, but these are more than good!
set ultimate offering with parthe then flip it
NORMAL SUMMON GREEN GADGET ADD RED GADGET LET’S GOOOOOOOOOO WE ARE SO BACK BABY
They use the convention of the Seven against Thebes for the trap cards, with the leader being an effect monster… then they immediately break the convention. It should have been Mescisteus.
I mean, Adra is based on one of the two possible members of the 7th slot.
Dang they gave her a Rack ! ><
hmm for an archetype intended to be pseudo support for continuous tramp cards it’s a bit meh
I would have opted for the second effect of the spell to be protection for continuous traps or, if they did not want to do something very strong, a slight recycling of resources.
Continuous “tramp” cards? I’ll admit that I’m a bit swamped with waifu archetypes too, but I think that’s a bit harsh.
I am certainly surprised that they didn’t get an Xyz ace since all of the monsters and the traps become Lv4.
@Johnnymacs
This is very different from snake rain. You get immediate value off of snake rain, where as this requires set up.
Honestly, I do not see the value in playing this in stun when the effect to set from hand is not even a quick effect.
for Fierce Parthe 3rd effect, banish it from where? the hand, the field, or the graveyard?
because the effect doesn’t specify it, you should always assume that it banishes from the field. It’s the same as a card that says “You can Tribute this card:…”
I’m actaully kind of interested in this deck. Not a deck builder deck or a lore deck, so it will definitely need a pick-me-up for tempo. I think I have some fun playing this with War Rocks/Master Peace, or Lore of Swords until it gets fleshed out abit.
I kinda hoped that the deck becomes like quick effect XYZ during opp’s turn, because majority of their monsters and traps are level 4s, so you can make the XYZ monsters gain additional effect based on the materials used for its XYZ summon. Also, Parthe’s effect is kinda broken, because you can just set Anti-Spell and activate it immediately, or any floodgate for that matter. They should’ve given her additional line of text that says “Continuous Trap with an effect that Special Summons itself as a monster in the Spell & Trap Zone”
I don’t understand why everyone is so scared of the new monster. Why would you even set a floodgate with it’s effect? Am I missing something?,) It’s an ignition effect and you also have to banish it from the field. Sure.. you can set a skill drain or anti spell and immediately activate it… on your own turn. Why?😅
