It was either going to be smol guys or bigger guys and the smol guys won.
Note: The cards today were revealed because the Shinobirds are based on the tale of Tanabata, which tells of the Weaver Orihime (the star Vega) and the Cow Herd Hikoboshi (the star Altair) who are separated across the celestial river by the Gods for basically being too into each other and forgetting their duties, and once a year, magpies will form a bridge across the Milky Way for the lovers to spend a brief moment of time with each other.
Tanabata is held on July 7th, usually. However, some more traditional calendars hold it on August 7th.

AGOV-JP061 星逢の神籬 Hoshiai no Himorogi (The Himorogi where Stars Align)
Field Spell Card
(1) Once per turn: You can Ritual Summon 1 WIND Ritual Monster from your Deck, by Tributing Spirit Monsters and/or “Shinobird Tokens” you control whose total Levels equal or exceed its Level.
(2) Up to twice per turn, if a face-up WIND monster(s) you control returns to the hand: You can activate 1 of these effects;
● Add 1 of your Spirit monsters or Ritual Spells that is banished or in your GY to your hand.
● Set 1 “Stars Align across the Milky Way” directly from your Deck.
Note: A Himorogi is essentially a Shinto Shrine in its most pared down form, the basis of a Shinto Shrine historically speaking. It’s essentially marked off area treated and purified to make it a space for the Kami to inhabit. In essence this is a place where the Shinobaron and Shinobaroness may descend upon the world and manifest due to ritual purification.

main deck has always been the extra deck for rituals and buster mode
Refresh my memory: how are you banishing these cards?
the ritual spell lets you banish monsters in grave to use as material iirc
feel like the ritual summon of the field spell could have been a quick effect to add interaction in case the otk fails, and its 2023 shino-otk will fail.
Uhhh continuous spells and field spells but I repeat myself don’t have quick-effects
LEZZZ GOOOOOOOOOOO THEY FINALLY DID IT!! I LOVE YOU KONAMI SO MUCH!
So the main combo line goes like this:
1) Summon Shinobaroness Shade Peacock, add the new Field Spell
2) Use Field Spell to tribute Shinobaroness to sumonn from deck Shinobaron Shade Peacock
3) Shinobaron tributes itself to add Shinobaron/ess Peacock and Shinobaron’s Calling
4) Shinobaron’s calling banishes both Shades from GY to summon the added Shinobaron/ess
5) End Phase, Shinobaron/ess returns to hand summoning 2 lvl 4 tokens which triggers Field Spell to set Stars Align across the Milky Way
6) Opponents Stand-by, Both Shinobaron/ess Shade Peacocks come back from being banished
7) Activate Stars Align to add MAGICIAN OF BLACK CHAOS MAX lmao, or the other Shinobaron/ess
8) Nothing, cause you are lacking a ritual spell in hand to banish Stars Align from GY to ritual summon on the opponents turn.
If you play Drytrons surely you can spare a Ritual spell in hand but just to say, its kinda missing a good Ritual Spell card and thats it, it’ll become really good once it gets a Ritual Spell that can come back to hand.
OR, a good Wind Spirit monster you can normal summon after searching it with Shinobaron Shade Peacock.
You still got some cards left in hand and most of them can be searchers like Manju, Preparation, Diviner, and more
I mean, Yata-Garasu isn’t that bad of a Wind Normal Summon against a Shinobaron/ess-cleared field.
