Note regarding the title:
地獄の沙汰(さた)もカード次第 Jigoku no Sata mo Kaado Shidai is a play on the phrase “地獄の沙汰も金次第” (Jigoku no Sata mo Kin Shidai) that means “Even in hell, the extent of one’s suffering is determined by money”. To explain, it basically has the same use as “Money talks”, “Money opens all doors”, “No penny, no pardon”, “Money makes the world go round”, “Money is the best lawyer in hell” etc.
So the title could alternatively be translated as “Cards talk”, “Cards open all doors”, “Cards make the world go round”. Master Ghost suggested going with the “No Cards, No Pardon” pun, but one could possibly go “Cards are the best lawyer in hell”.
So yeah. Puns, there’s a lot of ways to go with this title.
