“Animation Chronicle 2024” is confirmed for release on June 22nd, 2024, and contains primarily cards introduced from the various “Yu-Gi-Oh!” anime series of old. This pack not only contains new and old cards that have appeared in the various animated series, but it also contains a humongous number of useful reprints, totaling 60 cards in all. Also, certain cards come in Parallel foiling, Secret Rare foiling and Collector’s Rare foiling too!

I just hope that 50% of the pack doesn’t get cucked by reprints like last year’s pack did. I’m really hoping that was just a one-off.
Same that was a dumb decision. But unfortunately since there no longer new animes for the regular game they might continue to do that just to keep these kind of pack going.
Well my theory is that they did that to compensate for including a few Animation Chronicle cards in each of the series 12 packs. That said, I think I’d much rather get them all at once once a year than get half of them at once and then have the rest trickled out over the next 12 months.

I’m am so tired of reprint sets. Other than the core sets every other new pack just contain reprints with just a few new cards. It’s ridiculous. These Anime packs used to be my favorite ones out of the whole year. Now they just suck.
Indeed, but If things get to stayil then konami might do 1 of the following.
1]: they might create a new anime to not only get new people interested in the game but to keep making these packs.
2]: konami might start creating more cards for anime cards as support as for example hungry burger did.
3]: konami might start doing a poll every now and again to let the public Design and or choose archetypes to realise, not this is the least likely to happen but possible.
And by the way I am quite hoping that hydradrive are released as by wording they pull a buster blader the dragon destroyer swordsman affecting not only monsters on the field but deck, hand, Graveyard, extra deck, and banished being a more powerful version of monarchs especially if konami release the link spell judgment arrows.
Unfortunately for Konami while only making new animes based exclusively on Rush Duel may of seen like a good idea in the short-term, in a long-term they going to run out of anime only archtypes to adapted to the real game. Same with the manga other than OG structures there hasn’t been a new manga since Arc V based on the regular game. So the same problem eventually going to happen there as well.
Link spell is not making a sense to be printed as a real card and affecting deck? Konami errata the Extra Deck effect of King of Barian and you are hoping they print a crd that affecting deck ??, pffftt
There are over 1K unreleased anime cards, they’ll be fine. Not even taking account GO cards like Malefic Paradigm Dragon that emulate an anime effect
I hope they add extra utility to Saio’s road cards the way they did to Z-one’s continuous traps.
That’d be pretty solid and would make a lot of sense to do. And there’d be a lot they could potentially do to support Arcana Force by doing so.

Was a little on edge that they’d skip this, but it just seems they swapped places with the preconstructed Deck product this year.
I am sad that we don’t seem to be getting a typical, more standard-issue Structure Deck, though. We got some really sweet Structures during this time of year, so it’s unfortunate we’re not doing that this year, too.

Well, when it comes to what cards I want as part of this year’s Animation Chronicle, I still want to see Elemental HERO Clay Guardian, Joey Wheeler’s Landstar cards and Sumo King Dog among some of the anime cards that are still yet to be released. Until then, that’s all I’ve got to say, so goodbye!
Lets hope they don’t waste too much of the pack space on reprints this time.
Hoping for Misawa’s Magnet monsters or Saiou’s remaining Arcana Force cards, but expecting just a couple of GX filler cards instead.

It better be better than last year’s. The first one had so many new cards. It was my favorite set in years. But 2023 was over half (32/61) reprints. It’s like they didn’t even try with it.
