    Note: This card uses two extremely rare Kanji that are basically more Chinese characters than they are Japanese. The first means Dazzling or Shining among other uses (basically of a display of crossed torches), while the other refers to simmering, boiling or stir-frying something (Though I’ve been told the second Kanji is apparently an ancient way of saying “Mars” as in the planet).

    The card’s Kanji Furigana vaguely sounds similar to 傾国傾城, i.e. a woman so glamorous as to bring ruin to a country (castle) as its king (lord) is captivated by her beauty.

      With this card, that’s 6 monster promos in a row that are either DARK or LIGHT with only Drawbread in between. Feels like the other 4 Attributes are only an afterthought sometimes.

        Also forgot the Amulet Trap after Drawbread. But that’s 8 months: 1 Spell, 1 Trap, 4 LIGHT monsters 2 DARK monsters. You get the point.

        I wonder the if the designers intented Alekus to be “so pretty it hurts” others due that resin/lava around.

        It appears he/she/they might be covered in lava or resin.

      More masculine then anything, even their name – alexus – could be alexis (masculine version), could be a man so beautiful he has to hide his own face so twitter cant find him

      Why Konami create unwanted random archetypes that waste time. Focus on the Dark Magicians FFS! This is why nobody likes Konami because it takes them 20 years to print out new good support for Dark Magician! It’ll take another 7 years to catch up to Blue Eyes because they’re so pathetic.

        Ah yes, Konami should focus on the underrepresented archetypes like Dark Magician…not like they get support literally every year, sometimes multiple times a year. Like if you were gonna be one of those who cry every time there is a new archetype (which this one card isn’t btw), at least pick an archetype that doesn’t constantly get support to compare it to.

        Konami clearly has no idea what they’re doing. They’ve had six anime series (not counting the Rush Duel stuff), yet consistently treat the anime archetypes like trash. What was the point of building those stories, characters, and decks if they’re going to release support once a decade—and when they do, it’s weak, outdated, and completely non-competitive?

        Meanwhile, they endlessly push meta junk like Sky Striker, Kashtira, and whatever flavor-of-the-month deck breaks the game next. It’s frustrating. The anime decks deserve real support—not just nostalgia scraps.
