It’s got to be a Materion to counter machine type monsters, after all you can’t introduce something as annoying as ancient gear into rush duel and not have a generic way to deal with them, seeing how rush duel format is basically similar to the 90’s-early to 2000 years of the original game, a format that had ancient gear as a meta option, and why I always hoped ancient gear wasn’t added into the format.

It’s almost definitely a Plant one.
Regardless of which one it is, I’m just glad that with this and Medustar, they seem to be expanding the repertoire of the series with more Type options.
I was nervous back when we only had Fullmetarion Ashurastar that they’re just gonna do a fanservice update of the original four or something.

Me oh my, this is going to be a very big wave. How exciting.

Over Rush Pack 2 has nearly the same number of cards total (82 vs 80 for this set) and also primarily supported 3 themes. Each theme in that set got 15 new cards, so we should get around 15 new cards in here too. So far Metarion revealed 6 new cards, 8 if the vanilla materials for Medustar and Geniustar count. We are just about halfway through this theme’s contents alone.

Don’t forget the Reprints that the Pack will surely have.
Metarion is the Deck that needs or has the most Reprints to give: Metarion Ashurastar, Vritrastar and Imaginary Actor are the obvious Reprints (along with some Normal Monsters). Imaginary Arc Turbulence, Imaginary Arc Turnback and Imaginary Arc Tower would also be nice to have Reprinted.
From there, Legend Deck follows to get more Reprints: specifically Legend Magician, Legend Strike and Legend Saber (if they want to follow the Lore they have established with the new cards)

I like how they kept the circus theme with Medustar being a juggler and Geniustar BEING the circus itself. I wish I had more to say about these but there’s not a lot until we get the effects.
Medustar is pretty cute I guess? I hope we get new main deck monsters for them too

Not to mention that we still have to know the obvious Normal Monster that will later become Medustar and Geniustar respectively. The only thing that is clear is that those Normal Monsters will be LIGHT Rock and Plant (indirect support for Praime) and they will have a little history of what they were before joining the circus.
But yes, Metarion needs good Main Deck’s Monsters (Imaginary Reactor seems to be the only Main Monster known so far)

They should give Goha Yuga more support given the fact the he beat Yuo easily and his Metarion fusion monster

Konami probably wants to step away from Reptiles for a while.

Yuga Goha will surely have future support for his Deck, especially if he is a candidate to appear in Duel Links.
That being said, it is funny that Chameleon has been known to be abused by Secret Investigator in the past, but then this LIGHT Reptile Deck would become more independent and rely on its own cards.
Who would have thought that the 3.3 Meter Tall girls (Mitsuko and Tamako) would have such a powerful Deck compared to a SEVENS’s Antagonist (Yuga Goha)?

If Medustar was a bit of a counter to Psychic or Rock, Geniustar seems to be a counter to Plant or Fiend.
In any case, it’s funny that they chose Rock and Plant to have Fusion Monsters as Counters (you’d think we’d get things like Pyro or Sea Serpent)

I genuinely have no clue what Type this is supposed to counter.
Machine, maybe?
Probaly is plant
Have root in arms
Hope new plant decks to make genius mors useful(if is really plant)
my bet it would be either rock or zombie
It’s the anti-plant with the roots coming out of the cables under its core and the flower on its left shoulder among other things

Well I know what I’m seeing in my nightmares now! Or as Jadian Yuki would put it, “It’s official, definitely having nightmares tonight!
