Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another CDP, and this time I’m shockingly combining the power of the new Blitzclique archetype (empowered with its follow-up support card) with the Rock-Type Magnet Warriors, and boy is this a fun deck to pilot. Fresh off of Genesys fame, the Blitzclique archetype is a group of EARTH Thunder Monsters that are all about destruction. For example, Surge Blitzclique can target a monster on the field, destroy it, then summon any Thunder from the hand. On the other hand, if it is on the field when another card is destroyed by card effect, it tutors any Blitzclique monster. Their newest addition is a new Normal Spell, Blitzclique – Overvoltage (YGOrg Translation), and quite frankly, I think it’s much better than initial internet reactions imply. On activation, it just destroys a face-up card on the field, and it also shares the recovery effect of the other Blitzclique Spells to return to hand when a card is destroyed by a Blitzclique card effect. Since the first effect isn’t once per turn, you can cycle a single copy twice, giving you plenty of destruction to go around for all your Blitzclique to benefit! Then, the other new card I want to highlight since the last time I covered the deck is Thundercrash Snarecrow, a new Level 8 that forces non-Thunders summoned while it is on the field to be destroyed during the End Phase.

Alright, now let me address the elephant in the room – the Magnet Warriors. You see, the Magnet Warrior archetype is now led by Conduction Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus, a Level 7 Rock that summons itself from hand by sending 2 Magnet Warriors. Alone, this monster generates a ton of advantage, with Sigma Plus recovering Sigma Minus, then you can unlock multiple Fusion Summons via Sigma Minus into Conduction Warrior Plasma Magnum, then a second Fusion Summon via Magnet Bonding into Flux Ochsenfeld. Not only does this give you another form of Quick Effect removal, but it also can fully surprise an unsuspecting opponent, throwing all their hand traps with the sole goal of stopping Magnet Warrior combos. But even in the worst case scenario, this gives you a solid board going into the opponent’s turn that can be difficult to break through, giving your Blitzclique the perfect opening to break through whatever they establish and seal the duel! Thunder and Rock can form a Superconductive Plasma Blast, so harness the combined might of these two EARTH archetypes working in parallel!
