Dark visions are clear within this Typhoon.

As advancements are made within the meta and new card reveals appear for Decks, it affects the market massively. From a new Thunder Deck and a new card that searches for any Thunder monster, along with a new FTK appearing via Toon Support. This week has shown the craziness of what can happen when new cards and techs appear.

    Visions for the Future

Recently, Radiant Typhoon Vision was bought out, as the new Sky Striker Support has been doing extremely well at Regional events for the opening week of the Legendary Modern Decks 2026. This card has many players asking for a rarity upgrade, as it was printed as a Common from Doom of Dimensions, especially with how powerful the card is itself. If it is destroyed by a Mystical Space Typhoon, you can reset Vision to the field. The best part about this card is that you can draw 2 cards and discard 1 Radiant Typhoon card or a Quick-Play Spell from your hand, but if you don’t, you discard your entire hand, similar to how Allure of Darkness works. This card can also let you add a copy of Mystical Space Typhoon from your Deck or GY to your hand so you can set up extra interruptions with Radiant Typhoon Mandate.

Another powerful card that has been seeing plenty of sales over the weeks has been Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon. This card has been mentioned in passing through these articles, but now it’s finally time to talk about it directly. This card has been paired with Albion the Branded Dragon and The Fallen & The Virtuous as one of the many Extra Deck options you have that mentions Fallen of Albaz. This card has plenty of potential in any Deck that runs it, from Special Summoning Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous, from your Deck or GY to access Fusion Summons in Branded and Dracotail decks; Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous, for more access to Fallen of Albaz; Swordsoul of Mo Ye in Swordsoul strategies; or even Centur-Ion Primera for Centur-Ion builds. This card can also target a Level 8 Fusion from your GY or banishment and 1 card on the field to shuffle both back into the Deck, which is great for removing cards from the field going first or setting up board-breaking potential going second.

With Maze of Muertos selling extremely well due to the Pumpking retrains, a few amazing imports, and all the alternate artworks being the main chase cards of the set, it left one card in the dust that hasn’t seen a reprint in quite some time, that being Gozuki. It’s an important card for the Call of the Haunted theme, as this card can send 1 Zombie monster from your Deck to your GY. If this card is sent to the GY, you can banish 1 other Zombie monster from your GY, to Special Summon another Zombie monster from your hand. Both parts of this card are extremely useful for setting up a monster in your GY to bring back with Call of the Haunted, but it also lets you Special Summon a Zombie from your hand if you need an additional Level 6 monster on the field to access your Rank 6 monsters.

These cards have been grabbing the players’ attention between Genesys and the Advanced format, and hopefully, they reprint these cards to cross-promote with other sets in the future and the ones they’ve already released for the players.

    Surges from the Past

With the announcement of both Lightning Crash from Limit Over Collection – The Rivals – and Blitzclique (YGOrganization Translation) from Chaos Origins, many Thunder monsters have been bought up for inclusion in certain decks or just new found consistency to compete with other Decks currently. One of these cards happens to be Thunderclap Monk, who was originally released in Savage Strike and hasn’t seen a reprint since. When your opponent activates a monster effect while you control this Special Summoned monster, you can Tribute this card to negate the activation and destroy that card, and then if this card was sent from the field to the GY, you can Special Summon 1 Thunder monster from your hand, which follows into your Blitzclique (YGOrganization Translation) monsters extremely well, like Wisca Blitzclique (YGOrganization Translation).

Spright was another consideration with Lightning Crash, as the theme is fully Thunder, and with Grain Blitzclique (YGOrganization Translation) being a Level 2 monster, Spright Blue can be Special Summoned from the hand, and this opens a great window for splashability to let you add Spright Red and Carrot into the Deck for a monster Negation, or a Spell/Trap Negation. This can lean into Spright more, as Gigantic Spright can let you access Grain Blitzclique (YGOrganization Translation) from your Deck to set up plays during your opponent’s turn, as it can be paired with Blitzcique – Return Stroke (YGOrganization Translation) to return it back to your hand.

Pulling in the work, Toon Dark Magician has lots going for it currently, with the new Toon support being able to Special Summon it straight from the Deck with Funny Dark Rabbit. It can let you discard 1 card to either Special Summon 1 Toon monster from your Deck or add 1 Toon Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. This card has it all, and it even can be converted into Dark Magician of Destruction, as Toon Dark Magician is a Level 6 or higher DARK Spellcaster, and as such, you can search for The Gaze of Tiamaeus in order to Fusion Summon Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, or you can instead search for Dark Eradicator Warlock to set up an FTK with Toons, since Dark Magician of Destruction treats itself as the original Dark Magician while on the field, which Warlock requires. The quantity of this card on the market is extremely minimal, but hopefully going into the future with the TCG, there will be a new reprint coming soon.

It was only a matter of time, but Toons have officially made a First-Turn Kill with Dark Eradicator Warlock with their new support. Today, we will break down this FTK step by step like we did months ago with the tech with Majespecter Draco – Ryu in Mitsurugi for a full handloop. The reason why this card can now FTK is the amount of recycling you can do with Toon Table of Contents via Evil Box (YGOrganization Translation) and Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon (YGOrganization Translation), as each time a Normal Spell Card is activated, it inflicts 1000 damage to the opponent.

(Funny Dark Rabbit, Comic Cat, Toon World the Perfect World, Evil Box, and Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon are all YGOrganization. Translated names, and may differ in the future.)

A combo opening with Funny Dark Rabbit is as follows:
    1. Normal Summon Funny Dark Rabbit, then use its effect to place Toon World the Perfect World from your Deck to your Field Zone and it’s treated as Toon World while in the Field Zone.

    1. Activate Toon World the Perfect World to add a copy of Comic Cat from your Deck to your hand.
    2. Use the additional Normal Summon from Funny Dark Rabbit to Normal Summon Comic Cat.
    3. Chain 1: Activate Comic Cat’s effect to Tribute itself to Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck that mentions Toon World, being Toon Dark Magician.
    4. Before Chain 1 resolves: Use Toon World the Perfect World to banish Funny Dark Rabbit from your field, and then it is returned after Chain 1 resolves.
    5. Activate Funny Dark Rabbit to place a second copy of Toon World the Perfect World from your Deck to your field.
    6. Activate Toon World the Perfect World to add a copy of Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon from your Deck to your hand.
    7. Activate Toon Dark Magician to discard the added copy of Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon to search Toon Table of Contents from your Deck.
    8. Banish Toon Dark Magician to Special Summon Dark Magician of Destruction and use its effect to search Dark Eradicator Warlock.
    9. Tribute the copy of Dark Magician of Destruction, as it’s treated as Dark Magician on the field or in your GY, to Special Summon Dark Eradicator Warlock from your hand.
    10. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search another Toon Table of Contents, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    11. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search another Toon Table of Contents, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    12. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search for a copy of Toon Bookmark, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    13. Activate Toon Bookmark to search a copy of Evil Box from your Deck to your hand, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    14. Since you control Toon World the Perfect World, it is treated as Toon World while in the Field Zone, Special Summon Evil Box from your hand, then add a copy of Toon Terror from your Deck to your hand.
    15. Activate Evil Box’s effect to target 1 card in either GY to place it on the bottom of your Deck.
    16. Before Chain 1 resolves: Use Toon World the Perfect World’s effect to banish Evil Box from your field; then it is returned after Chain 1 resolves. This will reset the effect of Evil Box as it is once per turn per copy.
    17. Activate Evil Box’s effect to target 1 card in either GY to place it on the bottom of your Deck.
    18. Shuffle back Evil Box, Funny Dark Rabbit, and the Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon from your GY into the Deck to Special Summon Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon from your Extra Deck.
    19. Activate Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon’s effect to add 1 Toon card or a card that mentions Toon World from your GY to your hand, being Toon Table of Contents.
    20. Before Chain 1 resolves: Use Toon World the Perfect World to banish Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon from your field, and then it is returned after Chain 1 resolves. This will reset the effect of Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon, as it is once per turn per copy.
    21. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search another Toon Table of Contents, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    22. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search another Toon Table of Contents, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    23. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search any Toon card to your hand, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.
    24. Activate Blue-Eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon’s effect to add 1 Toon card or a card that mentions Toon World from your GY to your hand, being Toon Table of Contents.
    25. Activate Toon Table of Contents to search any Toon card to your hand, burning your opponent for 1000 LP.

In the future, maybe this could be the reason this card finally gets banned due to this hefty FTK, but only time will tell what Konami has planned for this Dark Warlock.

Going into Series 14, this game will have massive overhauls, as the Limit Over Collections, Revolution Booster: Toons/Witchcrafter/Unchained, and Chaos Origins have shown, so hopefully something crazier appears in the future.
