Did you like being able to play Nightmare Throne and Phantom of Yubel in the same deck? Well maybe if we took that ability away you’d be more tempted to play Yubel!
You also still can’t play a full suite of Mo Ye + Longyuan + Emergence, not even two of each if you want Chixao, AND with links banned I don’t know what is so scary about this deck.
The Swordsoul Hits is because it allows you to easily build a powerful board consistently.
Phantom of Yubel tends to not be used in its actual Deck and instead turn Yubel into a micro negate engine for other Decks.
The Yubel changes were for the benefit of Sacred Beasts most likely.
This is why this crudy format will fail. Too many updates that takes too much dedication to remember vs a simplistic ban list. Time wizard was perfect. This is too tedious.
its the first ever list. obviously its gonna take time to iron out the issues.
It’s the second. There was a points update literally moments after release.
Time Wizard was basically free ’cause there were already knowledgeable communities, but Rivalry of Warlord with shorter lifespan was more desirable.
Goat doesn’t help sell product nor does it allow you to play decks which would otherwise be unplayable in advanced constructed

Not a big fan of how this format hits certain decks like Branded way too far. I feel even a weak version of Tear should had been given a chance before deciding if it needed to be hit further. I also find it pretty lame they are semi banning cards like Last Turn instead of fixing how the card works, as the messy rulings is the real problem…
As it is, I am just not a huge fan of how they handle the Genesys format currently. However I still respect them trying out alternate formats instead of basically doing nothing like before.
Instead of learning rules for they own game, Konami just like “Nah.”
i think they cant do that since this is a tcg only thing .hence it not even in master duel even so it is so easy to implement

I love how we’re one list in and people are already saying this format is dead.

Second list and its not hard to tell that this is gonna get drastically changed each time based on meta/new sets dropping every 3 months. Its hard to invest in something that is constantly adapting and evolving, not knowing if the money you spent is all for nothing when the point values shift.
Hobbies are inherently financial and time sinks.
sure it might be their second list but its the first list with real data instead of just internal testing. if you didn’t expect a big list with big shake ups while they are still calling it “early access” then i just think you got the wrong expectations tbh.

The Exosister hits were too harsh, the deck’s combo dies to anything under the sun, played in almost everyone’s side decks, like Kaiju, Books, Black Hole…and I can continue.
But on the other hand, they’re completely trough about, since Pax and Mikailis are your ways to get Bat Mater, once the supports come next year. Also, Sayori Hime gets you Martha, but it doesn’t go anything on it’s own, since Martha can only summon herself if you control only xyz or nothing, so it’s a bit weird.
Regardless, the deck is straight up dead until the supports come, since without them, it relies almost completely on non engine.
