So she was the mystery fusion, interesting
She definitely upset and entering the zone
great card, any archetype would want a card like this
Lol, no one would really want it
@the man – you’re telling me not a single deck wants a card that sets any spell trap from deck you want?
while it only searches Artmage spell/traps, its the continuous OPT fusion on your opponent’s turn that interests me. I think it’d pair well with Double Hooking
“Non Finito” is probably going to be translated as “Infinity,” I don’t think Konami of America wants to market to 13 year olds with Latin
Non Finito is an art technique.
Bystial Dis Pater disagrees. It’s the name of an obscure Roman god of the underworld and is Latin for “Rich Father”.
“Non finito” is “Unfinished”, not “Infinity”. That would be “Infinito”
What does fusion summon even mean anymore? It used to be multiple monsters combining into stronger one. Now it’s just another character from the archetype.
It’s not a Fusion Summon. It’s treated as Special Summoning with its own procedure.
I at least can agree with that, in terms of gameplay the mats being generic archetypal monsters is great! But for the biggest lore archetype currently being released I expected better, just having one of the mats being her main deck and the other a generic artmegia version is the bare minimum and depending on what is her powersource the second material could be any card associated with that like “finnemel + any power patron” Or “+ Medius the pure”
They just went for the lazy approach instead, boring
Likely the intent here is it’s Finmel flowing with the power of Artmage Power Patron.
Fusion Summoning was a failed mechanic at first. The only Fusion to see competitive play for the longest time was Thousand Eyes Restrict. And that was only after using Metamorphosis on a Goat token.
To begin with, fusions were never very consistent, even in the time of D.M and in modern products it tends to go for a more symbolic approach just as types are often assigned on cards by the subtext of the lore or to represent something specific
Unfortunately you can’t summon this with Litera or Graflare, but you can set any Artmage Spell/Trap from Deck and use the GY effect of any Spell/Trap you discard this way
Theorealize Overdrive’s banish effect, or Succession.
Beautiful art and a good effect, kinda surprised she doesn’t have her negation anymore but I guess they wanted some variety since Medius fusion already has a negate
Actually, you can use that new Artmage Spell (I forget the name) to level up any Artmage, then summon her using them, such as a Litera or Graflare whose hard OPT has already been used, then cycle them back with the quick play spell Succession, or Successor, then cycle THAT spell back with another copy of the above spell that changes levels, by discarding it for cost to activate the field spell AAAA’s effect
EDIT: that unnamed spell is not an Artmage card, it is Theorealize Realize. It summons Medius from GY or banishment. It can banish from the GY to manipulate a monster’s level, and it was probably printed early to get folks primed for Elvennotes as a bridge to get Medius so he can summon their Power Patron
Theorealize Overdrive*
@ Geo: It wasn’t “printed early”, it was printed with the intent of snapping Medius’s Level to 10 so that the DoomZ Patron can turn him into Jupiter on the spot; not the ideal play, of course, but the sort of tomfoolery these themes seem to want to achieve with the Patrons (where the small one can theoretically use their effect to make the big one, emphasis on ‘theoretically’).
Since Noah is in Duel Links now I’m hoping we get a Shinato retrain soon. Maybe a Shinato Ark continous or Field spell.
That would be awesome!
Shinato Ark retrain as a monster that can be placed in the Spell/Trap Zone like the recent Millennium monsters and then it can perform Ritual Summon as a Continuous Spell monster.
Maaan, i would have liked the dictatorus for elevennotes way more
Interesting that Artmegia is just as spell hungry as White Forest but the in archetype spells and even the non-searchable theorealize spells are significantly less likely to offset that than the Sinful spoils or white forest spells.
this good but there are not many good artmage spell/trap
Cool card,
