It’s bug time.
The second entry of the “Advance Pack” series, a series of Special Packs meant to let you easily build Decks of various themes, is confirmed for release on January 10th, 2026.
Just like the first pack, “Devil’s Ceremony”, each pack contains 1 Super Rare or higher card, but this time around the pack has 60 cards, making it even easier to collect and build the Decks of your choice.
The Pack itself contains three themes:
■ The Rush Duel Original Zombie Theme “Defiant Soul”
■ The well-known in the Official Card Game Insect Theme “Great Moth”
■ The FIRE Spellcaster Theme “Sparkhearts” that appeared in the animated series “Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS”

Atleast they get bugs
It’s interesting that it follows the same ideology as the Over Rush Packs: an Anime Deck, an OCG/TCG import, and an original Deck.
I’m glad they’re supporting underused Monster types in Rush Duels (i.e., Zombie and Insect)
I’m still hoping for a Megaroad Pack 3, though.
Sparkheart is not really an anime theme
Just anime flavored
I hope the Great Moth stuff are retrains of some sort and not attempted to be made similar to the OCG/TCG.
The downsizing from Devil’s Ceremony is a bit concerning but Rush having steady product is a testament to how much Konami puts faith in it.
It got downsized because it basically got survey bombed.
The pack was too huge, the previous pack scheme meant you could pull a Super Rare and it would just be an upgraded Common (and potentially not a new card), and the Over-Rush Rare Only Cards were critical pieces of Decks, basically meaning you again.
Got hosed. It was basically a consumer hostile product, and consumers basically flipped Konami the bird.
Honestly, I’m surprised they didn’t opt for another Triple Build Pack instead of continuing the “Advance Pack” brand.
I mean, it’s not like Rush Duels is unrelated to brands/categories that only had one Pack and never came back (Character Pack, Gold Rush Pack, etc)
my money is on Defiant Soul becoming a Level 5 Ritual theme
It’s not fair! It should’ve been me not him! Refrence aside… this blows mann I know I said I wanted Moth support but I meant in the TCG
With the come of darkness metal, maybe now will have decks with main monsters who cannot be normal, so great moth can be main deck who you special from the hand tributing larva and cacoon
Darkness Metal Dragon can be Normal or Special Summoned.
Advance Pack seems exciting even though they trimmed down the card count. I’ve got no idea of what Konami decided to with Weevil’s Moths so there’s an element of surprise here. Some argue Moths might be turned into a Ritual Deck. Yugaverse getting expanded is hype, although I didn’t expect Sparkhearts to become a cornerstone.
I could see Konami expanding Yuga’s fairies (Poet and Whispering) into an archetype, they were prominent features in his Duels (especially Whispering).
Also, I wonder if Bendorbreak could receive attention from Konami as its gimmick is interesting. Or Fullmeteor Impact which has a potent effect but it’s a bit of a pain to bring out?
Apparently, there’s evidence suggesting they might create a Rock Deck based on the two Rock Boss Monsters that Yuga used in the Anime (FIRE and WATER). That’s thanks to some reprints for the WATER Attribute Boss Monster.
Either way, Yuga is capitalizing on the fact that his Deck was everywhere in SEVENS (but we still don’t have support for any of his Maximum Monsters)
