      I’m not sure why this new Magical Musketeer link monster would make you set the other card to your opponent’s field. Any ideas or combos would work with this one?

        Aside from the Link-1, the Magical Musket spells require you to own a Musketeer, so setting an S/T to the opponent’s backrow will typically just lock it without a Diabellstar or self-pop. Pends aren’t even good and yet they’re still getting hate cards.

        Their Link 1 (Magical Musketeer Max) has two effects that work better the more spell/traps or monsters opponent controld

      This is actually kinda clever storytelling. In the story Magical Musket’s based on, Caspar introduces Max to the magic bullets that he uses to win the shooting contest. Here, Caspar is used to set up a card on the opponent’s field so that Brave Max can set up turn 1 and add either a spell/trap to hand.

      I forgot these weren’t called magical musketeer which makes it even more infuriating the “musketeer” archetype got the dumb skyblaster name.

      I hope we get more Magical Musketeers cards. I really like them but they just aren’t good yet.

      For the like, two of you who care about this, this is a reference to the fact that Caspar is one of the antagonists in Der Freischultz, specifically how he attempted to double down on his deal with Zamiel by offering Max’s soul as collateral after having already sold his own.
