sakuretsu armor is never a relevant card in many years, it’s the dated. No one even plays mirror force anymore.
I never quite understood these kind of promotional cards. Are they tournament legal? Like, as a joke, could I run this type of card and not get DQ?
Unless specified otherwise, they are perfectly tournament legal. Most cards that are not legal in official competitive has actual info about it on the card, anyway.
The thing is that most of these cards is kinda rare and not really that good.

Are there some Generic/Semi-Generic fusions using WIND monsters?
There’s some insane idea of using the equip spell for it, but the only monster I can think about rn is El Shaddol Wendingo, and while this is damn good monster, there are better ways to summon it.
One off in Doom-Z for possibility of summoning Lighting Chidori? You would need to figure out second level 4 WIND monster, tho.
The type-changing effect has some niche uses and equip spells currently are pretty easy to search and recover. I just don’t think it’s ultimately worth it but hey, it’s something!
You are talking like YGO does not have wacky, fun cards like these two already, including Food cards. Although well, I’ve see people saying “Holactie the Creator of Light” is not legal, just because you can’t get a copy in a standard way.
On the other hand, few people knows YGO has many collab cards, but many of them, are Japanese exclusive. The card game gets bigger the deeper you look at it. As a certain YouTuber would say, “dark secrets”.

Why did they use the official game for this? Rush Duels would’ve allowed for way crazier artwork. They’re still milking the official game yet care more Rush!!

Because we dont have rush duel. So this way both parties can enjoy these bad cards.. altough these effects feel like the fit rush duel a bit more

I think there is not a risk of this as there is a equip card already (scroll of bewitchment) that changes the equipped monsters attribute to a chosen attribute. However it does not give an attack increase so there could be very specific situation where the 300 atk increase could make all the difference, in which case it would be funny if this became meta relevant.
Too bad we’ll probably never get it in MD where I actually try building these. Still waiting on Potato & Chips, Soul Unseal, and Farm Delivery .___.

It would have been a good idea to make the “Trap of the Poisonous Scorpion” card a continuous trap with a coin flip effect to be more faithful to the manga.
it’s funny how Winds of Victory and Glass slippers are the only equip cards that actually puts footwear on monsters lol
i actually miss the days when equip cards weren’t just weapons or armor but some were actually fashion wear

Mtg players are complaining about adding final fantasy cards to the game and it ruining the style and making mtg corporate and soulless, meanwhile yugioh is putting Nike Trainers into the game.
On the one hand this vexes me, on the other hand I do like yugioh having some goofy cards.
I think the cards themselves are fine put it is annoying having a Nike crossover it just seems so corporate soulless and consumerist, and knowing about the crossover kind of ruins the cards for me.
They’re Joey’s trainers from the manga. If this really annoys you to the point that you think its “consumerist” and “corporate soulless” maybe actually read the manga so you understand where they come from. Its only Nike branded because the manga had a thinly veiled reference to Nike in the name “Air Muscle”. But the shoes on the cards don’t even have the Nike logo so why be annoyed?

For the shoe that is equip spell, I think they can be used in some weird decks like power tool dragon or certain decks that likes to equip such as mikanko and other likes doom-z indirectly, believe it or not
What monsters have bad effects that can be combined with Winds of Victory and Dominus Impulse? Rhongo comes to mind, but I’m pretty sure it’s still banned.

There is a generic link monster that can turn any monster into any type (reprodocus)
We won’t need the equip card.
You could search the equip card with that other banned warrior link but again reprodocus is better.
