Lol, so OCG konami made a spell that works with 2 TCG archetypes, tistina and ashened.
@Rick- I was thinking the same thing lol. Then again, I believe those archetypes have been imported to OCG so perhaps they want to put their own stamp on them or maybe this card is a hint towards a new archetype in the near future that can take advantage of this? Who knows….

So, looking at the past several stories when they were introduced. I have a strange feeling this might be a “set up” card.
back when they introduced Starfrost, they did Clear New World on it’s own before releasing Him and the Scareclaws. They had also done the same thing with Diabellstar, releasing Sinful Spoils of Subversion – Snake Eye on it’s own before she and the Snake-Eyes had come out.
Of course this is just wild speculation, but this seems to have been a trend for at least the last 2 storys. (Though I will add, Light and Dark are opposites on the Dominus cards as well, so maybe this will fill in what’s going on with that.)

Maybe it hints at the Tistina and Ashened cards we will likely get in Duelist Advance, since this is basically direct support for them.
Yugioh has been on a tie-in card kick with recent sets. This is just another of those.
Supreme Darkness had indirect Tactical Try support while Alliance Insight had direct support for those decks.
Trinity box had direct support for 3 archetypes, while Alliance Insight had indirect cards for each of them.
Sumpreme Darkness had indirect support for Crossover Breakers, while Alliance Insight apparantly is rumored to have cards for those themes. (I didn’t see any leaks myself.)

Only Ryzeal you can search this with is Ice. That’s it, no joke.
This is unironically a Ashened/Tistina support card, with more a feeling to support Ashened than Tistina, as Ashened has Veidos being unsearchable in the archetype and is easily the better search target than anything else.
Actually, this can’t even search Ice in Ryzeal, because it’s lv4.
Usually when we get indirect support for a theme in a core booster set, we usually get actual support in the next core set or two. From the Tactical-Try Decks in ROTA to finally getting support in ALIN, to CRBR in SUDA and leaked to receive support in ALIN. This tells me we should get Tistina and Ashened in Duelist Advance.
RotA AND Change of Heart for Ashened? Can’t complain.

I think this would be a good card for Tearlaments or Ryzeal. The former likes its monsters in the GV, so at least they get the search and pop. The latter might run it if/when the banlists hit their cards.
Yeah but there is no search target for either archetypes. This card is ment for tistina and ashned which both have targets to search with this and second effects synergies pretty well with ashned

Actually if Ashened is supposed to be Dark Souls then linking Tistina isn’t a huge leap. Crystal Magic is a big thing in Souls ganes, and often has entire sections devoted to it. Also there are plenty of “gods” in Souls lore that you fight for no reason

Explain to me how I am wrong when:
– Ashened’s issue is getting either obsidim or veidos depending on the hand, not veidos again for the 1000th time
– the deck still has an abysmal ceiling
This card doesn’t fix any issues at ALL. Ashened still has no 1 carder and still dies to ash blossom on veidos.
Well for one, it’s literally not an Ashen card…
It searches Veidos, who eats field spells and clogs your opponent’s field. Could be useful in the future. In any case, a specific rota, is still a rota. It’s a card that is guaranteed to get better with time.

I love the exosister returnia thing where you have two effects that involve choosing something on the field but one arbitrarily doesn’t target. Unless it’s Dark Hole or a tie with something like Hammer Shot all these things should target.
Anyway, Chalislime searching fodder for itself always grossed me out but now I can take revenge by taking control of it until the end phase.

If this is actually a tistina monster being attacked by veidos, then this most certainly an ashened card, as well a tistina one.
Then I guess imperm is a Cyber Dragon card.
