While Viper is a lot better than before, it is still a Legend and must compete with the more useful Legend monsters.
A 1800 ATK beater isn’t a big deal either, especially in Rush where generic ATK boosting is already very rare even factoring Equip Spells (many of which don’t even support this monster at all).
I would say it falls into the category of being a win-more in most decks that can pump it (Burst Wingman, Straight Pierce). Prisma is pretty much too good to pass up in the decks that run those cards too.
If an archetype doesn’t need more front or backrow removal support, I can see it being valuable as a plain 5400 direct attacker that has the utility of making room on your board for additional summons (Legends’ Hunter + Shooter combo, for example). It’s even easier to pull off most of that 5400 damage in decks that run Negator Dragon or other attack reduction effects.

I’m curious at what point Konami will give us proper support for Yuga Goha’s Deck: it’s been a while and he’s the most likely character to come to Duel Links in the future (along with Tiger)

I don’t play much Rush Duel but a Lv4 1800 beater that can attack thrice is pretty crazy… Can we get this guy in the TCG/OCG lol
