Interesting that we got Atlantean support in a core set before the revival structure deck for the original Water structure deck.
Back in 2019 there was a Structure Deck poll and “Atlantean/Mermail” was one of the options. These look like the cards created for that poll just in case it got the votes.
I think this support deconfirms that SDR
Damn, no fuwaross?
Fuwaross was on the stream, but for 3 minutes or so it went down and we saw nothing. That’s the cover image of this article
LeVeiss doesn’t make sense from a backstory perspective ReVeiss makes sense because revise but Leviathan makes the most sense just my opinion
Leviathan, Vice and Weiss (German for White)
Was there ever any explanation for the Azamina name?
Basically, near as we can tell, it’s named after the Azami, the Japanese word for Thistle. Thistles were basically the plants the first appeared after God banished Adam and Eve for the sin of eating the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Long roundabout, they’re basically embodiments of Diabellstar and Diabellze’s ‘sin’ years ago.
Really weird that they would translate 王妃 as courtier.
The TCG is marketed to kids.
I’m guessing that you’re mistaking “consort” for “concubine”. “Princess consort” (the usage of the title 王妃) means “woman married to the King”. Maybe that’s the same mistake the localization team made.
Thats what its called in Master Duel
Black Metal Ultra Rare ? :/
Not named Metal Copycat? SMH
That was always a poor choice of name. Metal Illusionist uses a forced reading for its Japanese name whereas Copycat does not. So if “Copycat” were to ever become an archetype, Metal Illusionist would not be a “Copycat” monster. I commented this exact thing in the news post for the card’s initial reveal but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ulcanix has finally come home!! What took them so long to port her to the TCG?
They had to figure out the best way to butcher her title lol
Lordly Caliber? did you just make an Ogre Battle 64 reference?
Honestly not bad localisations outside of Blue-Eyes. Shark Drake reads a little weird but the OG pun was always weird too (Vice > Weiss > White > Great White Shark). If only they put in more effort with Malice and the Ryuge
As always TCG take the “L” turn for localized name. Primoredial was betteer
