You can only use the 2nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 Effect Monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead.
(2) You can return this equipped card to the hand; equip 1 banished Union monster to an appropriate monster you control, as if it were equipped by that Union monster’s effect, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand.

Needing set up to get on the field because it initially cannot summon itself from the hand
I think I would rather use 1 pilot over a galaxy soldier package to get to cyber dragon infinity, so ABC decks will still run this (or at least mine will). ABC already has so many bricks though, it hurts to see another

Typicall boring & stupid competibullsh*t players.
This card is not made to make ur stupid never ending combos. In a AtoZ deck its perfectly fine. and does what the deck could not do before which is equiping directly from banished.

I’d call this a solid one-of, but a one-of you don’t want to draw into.
X-Cross Cannon equips it to itself, and Union Hangar can also equip it to something, but its primary use case is recycling Union Driver, a spare piece of ABC, Union Controller, or the new XYZ, so it’s not something you’re going to be going for early in whatever it is you plan to do.
There IS the silver lining that Pilot, like Driver, has 2100 ATK and thus Union Activation can search a Cyber Dragon off it, though, however slight that lining might be.

Yes, because it wasn’t really equipped by the Union’s own effect.
Machines not have a monopoly on the union mechanic for 5 seconds challenge: impossible

Well, it does look decent, most Union monsters have low atk, and mostly lvl 4 or lower. Too bad they brick alot… Don’t think they will see play in ladder, but they are meme deck at best. Not even rogue at all.
And they die if you attack their BR too… Even Solfas can beat them
