    NeoArkadiaBy NeoArkadiaSeptember 27, 202426 Comments

Modernize your Insect Strategy Supply Line

ROTA-EN081 Supply Soldier of the Indestructible Insects
Level 5 EARTH Insect Effect Monster
    ATK 600
    DEF 300
When an Insect monster’s effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then if you activated this effect in response to your opponent’s effect activation, negate that effect, also until the end of your next turn, after this effect resolves, you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except Insect monsters. During your Main Phase: You can Fusion Summon 1 Insect Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field. You can only use each effect of “Supply Soldier of the Indestructible Insects” once per turn.

ROTA-EN082 Heavy Cavalry of the Indestructible Insects
Level 7 EARTH Insect Fusion Effect Monster
    ATK 2500
    DEF 1800
Materials: 1 Level 5 or higher Insect monster + 1 Insect monster
Cannot be destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. If all face-up monsters you control are Insect monsters (Quick Effect): You can target 2 monsters on the field, including an Insect monster you control; banish them. You can only use this effect of “Heavy Cavalry of the Indestructible Insects” once per turn.

    ROTA-EN083 Insect Invitation
    Continuous Spell Card
Face-up monsters your opponent controls that were not Summoned this turn become Insect. You can only use each of the following effects of “Insect Invitation” once per turn. You can target 3 of your banished Insect monsters; shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was sent there from the hand this turn: You can place this card face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone.

    ROTA-EN085 Phalaenop Sisters
Level 1 WIND Fairy Effect Monster
    ATK 300
    DEF 300
If the total Levels of monsters you control are less than or equal to the total Levels of monsters your opponent controls: You can Tribute this card; add 1 Level 7 or higher Insect or Plant monster from your Deck to your hand. During the End Phase of this turn, take 2700 damage if you did not Normal or Special Summon the added monster, or a card with the same original name, after activating this effect. You can only use this effect of “Phalaenop Sisters” once per turn.

Insects eating good now, literally. I got a bit confused seeing this since I remembered that one fanart of Laundry Dragonmaid leaving a honeytrap and summoning a bunch of insect type monsters, so I thought “Have these cards been shown before?”

The fairy is useless but the others are nice.

    4. N on September 27, 2024 12:10 pm

These two monsters are how the Beetrooper Fusions should have worked.

        That legit cool! 😀

Surely by now someone can cook SOMETHING between Beetrooper, Battlewasp, Ragnaraika, and all these waves of Insect support.

      • DuckSguised on September 28, 2024 7:01 am

I already cooked something. It’s a solid deck, you can even main deck shifter in it. You don’t really die to nib. It’s cool and all but it’s too hard to play given it’s not overpowered as heck

    7. GG on September 27, 2024 12:38 pm

Yes sure. I’ll make bug rain with theses new insects support

    8. Logic Bomb on September 27, 2024 1:15 pm

Holy crap…they actually gave insects something decent to end on. That’s rare as heck.

Phalaenop Sisters has to be referencing the Gadarla Kaiju
      -Lv7 or higher(Gadarla is lv8)
-It’s wings and dress appearance looked very familiar
-And 2700 was way to specific to be a coincidence

      • Pot the Trick on September 27, 2024 6:02 pm

Nicely spotted! Gadarla is my favourite Kaiju! <3

      • ScionStorm on September 27, 2024 10:13 pm

Phalaenop Sisters are a reference to the twin fairies that care for Mothra and sing a summoning chant to call on Mothra in the early Mothra and Godzilla movies. Gadarala represents Mother’s so this is a pretty accurate effect reference.

      • Regiruler on September 27, 2024 11:44 pm

It’s even more obvious when you lay them out by set number, where Phanaelop isn’t with the rest of the insect support, but between the two Kaiju cards.

      Insect s:p detected

I know people dunk on Ultra Beetrooper Absolute Hercules, but I’m going to turbo it out with reckless abandon and won’t be told otherwise!

      • Dallas Modeste on September 27, 2024 6:54 pm

Me too I’m the same and they still get bear up by Hercules anyway

    14. Federplayer on September 27, 2024 6:20 pm

They’ve removed “as material” from the end of the Fusion Summoning effect. Nice change to save needed space.

The field spell reminds me of Javelin Beetle. Would be nice to see him gets a retrain soon.

    17. thebaseddd2 on September 29, 2024 8:59 am

“Face-up monsters your opponent controls that were not Summoned this turn become Insect.”

Now you have my attention. Now just change Parasite Paracide to prevent the player from tributing or using insects as material.

    18. juanigas on September 29, 2024 3:28 pm

there is someone in konami tcg who loves bugs like me but forgets that super polymerization exists and ends up taking out anti support every time he takes out a fusion. mr. designer please take out more synchros like diabolomantis that was sublime or links but stop taking out super polymerization targets for the poor bugs. my friend bought a hercules beetrooper just to make my insect deck impossible to exist and now he has a new toy.
