If Tri-Brigrade was so good, why didn’t they make a Tri-Brigade 2?
Raika can be read as “Budding Calamity”. The theme is aggressively Japanese, so to preserve the feel, we kept the names in Japanese. Similar to how Spirit monsters have been done in the past.

Can we get a Tti-Brigade for Aqua, Sea Serpent, and Fish next?
We already have Mermail and Atlantean sir
Make mermail atlantean great again
Deep sea support when ahhh
THE FORGOTTEN SOULS GATHER ON THIS CONDEMNED LAND! ABANDONED DEAD GATHER TO SLAUGHTER THOSE IN YOUR PATH!!!!
You don’t know how accurate this is. I fully believe this is part of the six sam lore if not there are way to many resemblances.
RIP. Reptile, Insect, Plant.
It’s a good day for a new type trio. I really love how Serpentine Princess isn’t even that terrible in this, since all of the Links can proc her effect and get you material in the RIP types just by reviving themselves.
thats why she was reprinted
This is the most wild ogdoadic support I’ve seen.
My main decks were Ogdoadic AND Beetrooper with the hybrid support from PHHY. This archetype has literally been made for me lol
Please Konami, keep the Japanese name for official English. As a weeb, I want something that sounds very Japanese but playable.
Mikanko isn’t playable enough for you?
Got banned from r/yugioh for quite literally nothing, so I guess I’ll comment here for now.
This archetype just seems so…. boring. They look almost too ‘cool’, and their effects are just… good.. it lacks any sort of fun factor.
I hope u got banned here
Haha jk, unless…
But for real tho, now that we “kinda” move on from archetypes that is not all about cute anime girls, you still complaining? Idk how u feel about Silenforce, Tenpai, or Evil-Eyes.. but this? we eating good for the last few archetypes man
Good might be a reach, but I suppose the fun factor will have to start with what exactly you’re hoping for
Is this some sort of Mayakashi 2.0 too? 🤔
Since they can summon from GY and seems relying on link climbing
That’s a reach. They’re not similar given Mayakashi , both Synchro and Link climb and the way they summon from the grave is very different.
Mayakashi immediately came into mind when I realised all the Links have the reborn effect. They really look similar, having only 2 effects, one being the reborn effect.
My first thought as well but since they neither lock you into their own archtype nor rely on your opponent to pop your monsters to activate the GY effect they have a lot more potential than mayakashi
SO THIS IS what Hagakuremino in the last tournament pack was for
I’d like it if they made a Link-based series that’s designed to work with the Extra Link, like how Topologic Gumblar Dragon had an effect you could activate while it was Extra Linked.
sound idea my friend but its seems to difficult to balance as whats the right pay off for an extra link since its impossible to do under destraption
ok now… plant good stuff for this deck right?
Alright first things first.
THIS CARD ART GOES SO HARD!!! OMG, I love this aesthetic.
Konami if you read this please let us know the artist involved they deserve to be credited in some way
Having said that.
The Raika have a decent built in link climbing effect that you can pretty easily do on turn 1.
Marikoube is clearly the starter being able to search 2 and discard 1 on summon allows you to enable both Kamikiri and Tokage enabling their SS effects which starts the engine off.
You SS Marikoube search Kamikiri and Tokage discard 1 card in hand.
SS Tokage banish card from grave. SS Kamikir by shuffling the previously banished card back to deck.
Link into Dokuro using Kamikir and Marikoube.
Use Kamikir effect to special summon Marikoube back to field.
Link into Ookaminushi using Kokuro and Marikoube,
Then you have two options
use Ookaminushi to search the trap by banishing Kokuro and Marikoube. and then link into Kusarigami using Ookaminushi and Tokage, and then set the trap
or SS Dokuro using it’s own effect targeting Tokage. then link into Daiouga using Kokuro and Ookaminsushi.
Overall we will have to wait for more cards and see how it pairs with other decks before really deciding the viability of this deck.
Right now as is it has very consistent 1 card setup being able to put up at least 2 forms of disruption.
Raika has a very strong grind game as all the link monsters are able to SS themselves from the grave and your able to get them all their turn 1. So even if your board dose get broken 1 Reptile, Insect or Plant immediately rebuilds the entire board.
You are absolutely right and I’d like to tell you a 2 card combo that came to my mind as a Beetrooper player:
NM Gokipole, Link it into Almiraj, search Aztekipede, SS it banishing Gokipole, SS Kamakiri shuffling it, Link them into Dokuro, revive both, Link them again with Almiraj into Okaminushi, set the trap, Link now into Daiouga and you’ll have 3 pops.
That not a bad endboard with a consistent setup. nmy only real worry at the moment would be what self protection these cards can have
Wow, this is some sick looking monsters, I’m tired of mecha, space dragon and waifu…
You guys talking about no waifus and here i’m thirsting on the snake girl
Yeah me too, japanese snake girl is the best!!
What a combo deck, Serpentine will probably be hit since it’s hell in this archetype.
The opening I think :
– Marikoube SS (or NS if u want save a card or NS Lonefire Blossom if u didnt draw Mari)
– Mari add Tokage and Kamiri and ban another Raika, so u need at least 1 Raika card in hand.
– U have the 3 Raika on your field, lets put Serpentine in grave with Water Lily if possible.
– Link 2 with Mari and Kami for Dokuro, Kami ss Serpentine and Dokuro Mari (or if Serpentine is not in grave and u have to NS for starting your engine, use only Dokuro’s effect for Kami)
– Link 3 with Doku and Mari for Ooka who fetch the Trap
The field here is Ooka in Extra, Kami, Tokage and Serpentine or Mari.
– Rank 4 for King of the Feral, Feral will fetch Serpentine or Yowie if u already have Serpentine on the field
(Also here is the trick for having Serpentine for sure if u used your NS or didnt get Foolish, Water Lily or Snake Rain but u will need the Raika Spell.
So u have Dokuro, Feral, and the spell, Feral fetch Ogdo Nauya by detaching Kami, Nauya send Keurse, then Keurse tribute Feral and SS Neuya who fetch Water Lily, then send Serpen with Lily, SS Kami with Raika Spell and proceed)
– Dokuro eff in grave returning Serpentine then Serpentine trigger special Predaplant Scorpio, Scorpio SS Predaplant Cobra who fetch Super Poly.
– Link 5 with Ooka and Dokuro, then if u didnt use ur NS, normal yowie for shutting your opponent DP.
– Link 4 with Yowie, the 2 Predap and Feral, or if u can’t NS the added monster by Feral, u can Xyz Cicada King with the 2 Predap.
At least the minimum board will be LINK 5 + Raika Trap + Super Poly + Cicada king, and if u didnt use your NS u can also have Yowie eff and Link 4 over Cicada.
Some erratum, forgot Yowie prevent for special summoning more than once, so it can’t be used. For substitute we have Reptilianne coalt, who can ss itself with a Dark Reptile or some Ogdoatic, also if u didnt put any mon in grave for summoning Mari, Link 2 with Kami and Mari then ban Mari for summoning Tokage.

This part of a lore
Can we get less Asian stuff in this card game please… Where is Hispanic stuff?
you want less Asian stuff…..in a japanese card game?
Also you got mementos
Musha Dokuro sounds like a play on Gasha Dokuro but replaced with Musha
