The Lightless Shadow

There exists an eternal “World of Shadows”. On the outskirts of the city where the darkest night lingers, there exists a soaring spire that quietly looms in the distance. It is said those that manage to climb the tower can travel to “The World of Light”. However, there are rumors and legends that there is a terrifying horrible demon which consumes the shadows of travelers who visit the tower, stealing their appearance.
One day, a Blind Girl visited the tower. The girl suffered from an incurable disease, and her life was a candle in the wind.
“I want to see the light at the end…”
It’s a natural wish for someone who lives in the World of Shadows. The girl climbed the tower’s spiral staircase. The journey felt like an eternity.
Suddenly, something touched her.
It felt very warm.
“Aah, how lovely…”
The demon was puzzled by the girl’s condition. It wondered if anyone had ever looked at it like this before. There was definitely a light reflected in those eyes that could not see.
