Going for a good cause.
Tyler Gressle’s “Tyler the Great Warrior” was sold via eBay auction on April 29th, 2023.
This one-of-a-kind card was created for Mr. Gressle when he was a child as a part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation when he was afflicted with a rare form of cancer in childhood. The organization helped Mr. Gressle with fulfilling a wish of his own Yu-Gi-Oh! card, inspired heavily by Future Trunks from the Dragon Ball series. 4Kids Entertainment, now Konami Cross Media, was an intermediary in making the wish happened.
The design of the card itself was done in a two step process of Tyler drawing it, and then Mr. Takahashi Kazuki drew two sets of concept artworks for the card based on Mr. Gressle’s artwork:
Mr. Gressle explained he’s selling the card, that he received as a child, to help allocate the money to help him start a family, start a local business in his community, and provide a nest egg to let his family travel the world.
Mr. Gressle admitted back in 2015 he was considering selling the card due to financial hardships, but the offer at the time was $75,000. This means the card will have sold for a little over 4 times its previous offered value.
Mr. Gressle is keeping and framing the original three sketches, leaving him with a portion of his childhood gift.

Good on him. I wish him and his family well.
All the best!
Good for him.
Total missed opportunity though: Tyler the Creator, a fusion of this card and The Creator.
Wait tyler never died before ?
Apparently not. Good. And good on him for trying to stabilize his life for a family and business.
Wonderful
I’m a kid at heart I’m 54 and I’m excited for him it only comes by ones in a lifetime like this he knows that the time is now or never???
P.S… ON A GOLDEN PLATER!!!
It was a gift. This is wrong.
A card, even a precious one, isn’t as important in life as supporting one’s family. Don’t judge until you are in a similar situation.
Unfortunately that is a fake as I have had the card for 5 years now in my possession in my private collection.
Bruh he chose family over a card respect
