Loyalty effect. I think a reference to manga BE refusing to obey Kaiba?
Feels like it should have been a negative effect if possession switches. Like destruction when possession switches (1st Yugi vs Kaiba) or letting the owner search “Mind Crush” (2nd Yugi vs Kaiba). If you’re gonna add a useless lore effect, might as well make it unique.

No additional monsters nor backrow for Millennium in this set is a bit disappointing. Also nothing yet for the new Wedju archetype.

The once per duel on the 3rd eff is kinda sad. This wold be amazing for the deck even if had another rescrition like having a monster in the backrow or Millennium Ankh in the GY.

“Isn’t a brick” is kinda relative, since this isn’t really for the Blue-Eyes Deck.
Considering we’re getting a Blue Eyes structure deck this fall it feel wired putting a Blue Eyes card in a main set.
It isn’t really for Blue-Eyes, though. It’s for Shimon/Solomon’s Millennium Ankh/Exodia Deck. It references the 4th Blue-Eyes that belonged to Solomon, Shimon’s present-day counterpart.
You mean like nearly always? Evry time we get a New Structure Deck, we also get some Support cards parallel, realtet to the Deck, in a Main Set

Just like the second effect as a reference the third effect is a reference to the only reason you can use it once per dual is because the card got ripped
Honestly, control of this card not being able to be switched is a nice touch, can’t be Widow Anchored just like the original.

We always get the most broken stuff at the end of the year around september-november because that way we have to wait until the next year’s mega tin reprints lol
Sometimes we get more good stuff in the beginning of a year too but not always.
Im expecting something broken and tier 0 coming out before 2024 ends 100%
TBF tho the shining Sarcophagus archetype played within Runick is super broken.
Everyone will see once INFO drops the Dark Magician the ebon Sorcerer and it gives the deck free Rank 8 xyz plays just like horus has but better because it also gets the battle protection to stop tenpai and the spell negate from silent Magician Zero to stop any board breakers. The only out is evenly matched super poly and lava golem/kaijus which is why I also run adventure engine so Wandering gryphon can stop evenly matched.
Now I wanna see Arkana’s Dark Magician too! Haha
