Give us Water Omotics alt art you cowards.
Still no Final Flame LART 😪
They censor so many MANY cards to the point releasing just a few of these “Lost Art” cards every year doesn’t even scratch the surface of the iceberg… They should really just accept the bulk of their player base are adults now already, and at least release entire large collector sets where all the cards are the original arts.
I have watched some duellogs vídeos about censorship and i’m 100% convinced the cards are censored nowadays for the sake of censoring (because they still do it with no reason at all).
After so many years, TCG designers just censor cards because that became some sort of “their culture” to do so.
You could make a structure deck with all the censored Harpie cards in the TCG. In all honesty Konami needs to do that. It would sell like crazy.
You can’t just show 7 year old boys women’s hairless armpits. Are you crazy? They might never recover.
Kinda like how 4kids Censored all the fight scenes from Yugioh even through they were also airing TMNT which was an actual fighting show at the same time.
Amazing to see Otohime’s lost art finally.
Backup’s TCG print was just two months ago. Why bother censoring her to begin with?
As much as I support these uncensored arts being released for the TCG at all, the Lost Art Promotion as a vehicle for it is a joke.
If standards have changed so that these artworks can be released at all, stop censoring them in the first place.
This is way too slow of a release schedule.
It is so weird that so many people in this comments section can’t wrap their heads around the fact that Konami is kinda forced to censor cards to be in the same isle as Pokemon cards since it’s technically marketed towards a 6+ audience.
Magic doesn’t censor cards and they’re still put next to pokemon in every store that sells tcgs
Like the other person said, MTG is sold in the same stores, and doesn’t have that problem. Moreover the whole 6+ thing for Yugioh was always a questionably bad marketing choice, considering it was a card game originally targeting “Teens+” in japan similar to MTG. Especially as the game now is no longer popular with kids, they should change the age target back to what it should be.
nikke is a 12+ game despite it having bdsm in it and implied sex as well as skimpy ass outfits
One Piece has the same age rating on packs and not a single female has been censored.
They aren’t “forced” to do anything. They’re sold in the same aisle as Magic:TheGathering and WARHAMMER.
Why not the art of cards that are ANIME exclusive? Like the original art of Jaden’s Elemental HERO Neos or the anime art of Guardian Eatos??
I mean there was Uria in Gx Limited pack.
@YGOCollector This is the TCG not the OCG. You would be asking the OCG for those alt arts.
@Venom “was”? The GX Limited pack doesn’t come out until September in OCG.
Where is Infernity Avenger?
I wanna see them try and do a Lost Art of Spellbinding Circle’s, given even Japan seems ti be tiptoeing around it.
Spellbinding Circle is not even in Master Duel.
Calamity! Let’s go!
Yugi and PKMN are for millenials. They are basically the majority of consumers of this products.
So raise the age already Konami (and Pokemon Company)!!! Your target audience grew with you.
Objectively Pokémon is still for children, it’s played by children and adults. Yugioh is aimed at a younger audience and has to follow the same guidelines as other products aimed at children to be sold to said children. Plus children still play yugioh it’s just that those kids aren’t online, they are at playgrounds playing the game.
Magic and One piece are the exact same type of product and don’t get censored.
More like goddess of the one visible armpit. Still no Spellbreaker of the Ice Barrier, sad! Free her legs already!
TCG knows that Japanese kids sees all this uncensored art anyways right?
They’ve been dropping the ball with Lost Arts the past 2-3 years. They did Monster Reborn and Don Zaloog twice. They waited until halfway through the year to announce them both now and for 2024. And there was a missed opportunity with Phantom Nightmare. How could you release killer Yubel support, but not time it with a Lost Art of Yubel?
I’m convinced the TCG just censors so they can sell these because they know nobody wants the crap versions with the ludicrous censorship. Another way to jab the customers.
Parting gooners with their money is probably the most ethical business practice known to man.
Still no mystic tomato ffs konami…
It should be pretty obvious art only gets censored so they can sell the same card twice as a Lost Art.
Just fire Kevin Tewart and call it a day
“Lost art” AKA: the actual artwork, and not the butchered tcg version.
it’s a children’s card game, y’all are the weird ones for still playing it when you’re older than 25.
You would not be commenting on this website if you weren’t a weirdo yourself.
Wild how Digimon can just sell you tiddy and the only time they censored anything were Sismon Noir because of fear of the Vatican tripping.
But Kevin Tewart is terrified of a little bit of thigh like the out of touch boomer he is.
