[TCG-DUAD] Remaining World Premiere Cards From Duelist’s Advance

Bolt SpiderBy Bolt SpiderJune 19, 202572 Comments

So what you’re telling me is that Burning Abyss can be played again?

    DUAD-EN081 – Buio the Dawn’s Light – Common
    DARK Level 3
    Fiend / Effect
    1000/1500
Monsters in your leftmost or rightmost Main Monster Zones cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can only use each of the following effects of “Buio the Dawn’s Light” once per turn. If this card is in your hand: You can target 1 Fiend Effect Monster you control; negate its effect, and if you do, Special Summon this card. If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 “Mutiny in the Sky” from your Deck to your hand.

    DUAD-EN082 – Luce the Dusk’s Dark – Super Rare
    DARK Level 8
    Fiend/Fusion/Effect
    3500/3000
3 Fiend and/or Fairy monsters in your GY
Monsters in your leftmost or rightmost Main Monster Zones cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can only use each of the following effects of “Luce the Dusk’s Dark” once per turn. You can target 1 card your opponent controls; send 1 Fiend or Fairy monster from your Deck to the GY, and if you do, destroy that card. If another card(s) you control is destroyed by card effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it.

DUAD-EN082 – Mutiny in the Sky – Common
    Spell Card
Fusion Summon 1 Fiend or Fairy Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, by shuffling Fiend and/or Fairy monsters from your GY into the Deck as material. If this card is in your GY: You can send 1 Fiend or Fairy monster from your hand or face-up field to the GY; add this card to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Mutiny in the Sky” once per turn.

    DUAD-EN087 – Steel-Stringed Sacrifice – Common
    LIGHT Level 1
    Warrior Effect
    800/1000
If this card is in your hand or GY: You can reveal 1 Level 5 or higher monster in your hand, then activate 1 of these effects (but you can only use each effect of “Steel-Stringed Sacrifice” once per turn); during the End Phase of this turn, lose 1000 LP if you did not Normal Summon the revealed monster, or a monster with the same original name, after activating this effect.
    • Special Summon this card from your hand.
    • Add this card from your GY to your hand.
    • Banish this card from your GY, and if you do, add 1 Level 5 or higher monster from your GY to your hand.

    DUAD-EN088 – Xyz Lay – Common
    Equip Spell
    The equipped monster gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material on the field. Once per turn: You can activate the following effect, based on the equipped monster’s card type;
    • Xyz: Detach 2 materials from a monster(s) you control; Set 1 “Xyz” Spell/Trap from your Deck.
    • Other: Special Summon 1 monster with the same Level as the equipped monster from your hand in Defense Position, but negate its effects.
You can only activate 1 “Xyz Lay” per turn.

    DUAD-EN089 – Psychic Omnibuster – Common
    WIND Level 7
    Psychic/Synchro/Effect
    2500/2000
    1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner Psychic monsters
Each time your opponent activates a card or effect on the field (except during the Damage Step): You can pay 2000 LP and declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) (but you can only declare each card type once per turn to activate this effect of “Psychic Omnibuster”); look at 1 random card in your opponent’s hand, and if it is the declared card type, apply these effects in sequence (skip over any that do not apply).
    • This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of the declared card type this turn.
    • Banish that card you looked at, face-up, until the End Phase.

        Dante is a warrior…

      • Tenzin on June 19, 2025 2:11 pm

yep it’s def for burning abyss, the negate an effect to special summon stops them from blowing up and sending a fiend from deck solidifies it.

        Fusion Dante is Fairy

      • ScionStorm on June 19, 2025 6:18 pm

If it was focused on BA I don’t think it would have bothered considering Fairy monsters in the hand and deck.

      • Zenon on June 19, 2025 7:13 pm

        Darklord

      • Seid on June 19, 2025 8:06 pm

For those thinking of “DARKLORD,” they obviously make generic support when they do this kind of thing. There is obviously more focus in BA. Darklords monsters don’t blow up. So the made it like this for fusion Dante, nobody is saying it’s bad for Darklord, or dream mirror, I guess.

      • Nathan on June 20, 2025 7:33 am

Funny, my first thought was custom Unchained support. Summon level 3 with Tour Guide, go into Unchained combo, and hold fusion spell. Plus, fusion monster triggers when Unchained stuff do.

      • KenderMystic on June 21, 2025 4:22 am

        Frightfur can also use this.

        They won’t, but they can.

        why not both

      • MystikX on June 19, 2025 1:39 pm

@aaa1e2r3 Yeah, now we can use it for Zombie Vampire instead of Pilgrim Reaper.

      • Atlas on June 19, 2025 1:58 pm

Not really, harder to summon during the first turn and you need to target a card to destroy if you want the mill.

Aerial eater is still easier to start. Especially with fiendsmith

Overlay Units is an anime/manga only terminology. In the OCG/TCG they are Xyz Material, and have always been Xyz Material.

Melodious will have fun with Mutiny in the Sky. I’m not too sure how it would work with Fusion monsters, but if it does work with them it could be great recursion in case their boss monsters get outed.

Madolche is gonna have so much fun with Luce and Mutiny.
With Luce, you can add extra protection to your Anjelly-summoned monster summoned to the leftmost or rightmost zones, which you’d typically have Sistart pointing to. It overall makes your Madolche board safer from destruction effects.
For Mutiny, the fact it shuffles the materials from your GY into the Deck means it can trigger Ticket, Salon, and/or Chocolat-a-la-Mode for their effects. And simply needing a potential material for its next usage sent from your hand or face-up field to the GY to add this back to your hand makes it quite usable indeed.
I’ll have to experiment with it when it comes out, but I have a feeling it’ll be pretty good.

      Reply
      • yukicrewger2 on June 19, 2025 2:51 pm

The problem with that is Madolche doesn’t really leave monsters in the graveyard long enough that you could use them to summon Luce

    14. Snow on June 19, 2025 1:56 pm

“The equipped monster gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material on the field.”

So… 0? Xyz Material are not on the field. Did they have the intern desinging the cards again? It should say “for each Xyz Material attached to a monster on the field”.

      Reply
      • Zenmaistro on June 19, 2025 2:43 pm

Xyz Material don’t exist anywhere other than monsters on the field, so obviously this is a consolidation of wording.

      • yukicrewger2 on June 19, 2025 2:55 pm

hmmm… should they have used “for each Xyz Material attached to an Xyz monster on the field” instead of just “on the field” by itself?

buio and mutiny in the sky seem like an actual option in fiend link since its an extender that can go into aerial eater. the fusion isnt the best since it has to target a card opponent controls to foolish so it cant be used turn 1 so it doesnt really replace aerial eater at all so if you wanna play it you better hope your deck doesnt have a tight extra (every combo heavy fiend deck does now thanks to fiendsmith) in order to fit them both also it requires more material than aerial eater and cant be used to make caesar

      Reply
      • yukicrewger2 on June 19, 2025 2:59 pm

both Buio and Luce protect your outermost monster zones from effect destruction, and Luce has an acceptably high ATK. You can use both Luce and Aerial Eater in a deck, and why would you want to use Luce to make anything? He’s more useful on the field.

      • Trustbruh on June 20, 2025 3:17 am

the attack stat of luce doesnt mean anything here, and i dont think luce itself is bad i just think luce cant replace aerial eater because it doesnt work turn 1 so you would always prefer to fill your extra deck with better options than a more situational version of a card your already playing. if you COULD play both in your extra without sacrificing other good options you WOULD but thats the issue, you WONT

      • Trustbruh on June 20, 2025 4:14 am

though im def playing it in burning abyss that thing kinda nice in that deck lmao

      • yukicrewger2 on June 20, 2025 2:10 pm

@Trustbruh I see the ATK stat as more staying power, as you’re less likely to have a monster destroy it in battle, and the longer you keep it on the field, the longer you get to benefit from that protection

And I will. For example, I plan to use it in my Darklord/Despia deck, and could use it (if I so wished) to protect Darklord Zerato so it could use its monster zone wiping effect without destroying itself, for example.

Heck, you could use it in a Runick deck, as you’re not really going to be using the Monster Zones all that much, you could set things up so Luce is protecting itself, and White Dragon Ninja while leaving your back row fully open, and Mutiny in the Sky would let you reclaim any spent Hugin/Munin in the process

      • yukicrewger2 on June 20, 2025 3:14 pm

You could also use it in a Goblin/Goblin Rider deck, as a number of Goblins are fiend, and Goblin Elite Attack Force benefits from being targeted for Buio’s special summon. (might be a bit of a stretch, but it is a possible addition, especially as it adds another level 3 for you to Xyz with)

    17. ScionStorm on June 19, 2025 2:22 pm

Given these 3-card packets are geared towards a particular TCG premiere theme this looks like it was based on Dream Mirror.

I was hoping for a packet geared towards Kozmo. Maybe next time.

We’ve already had both Dream Mirror and Kozmo waves. (The Field Spell stuff in LEDE, and the Psychic/Machine stuff in PHNI, respectively.) This is designed for Burning Abyss (hence the card effect protection).

The fiends monsters can take a long break from now; they’re almost at the level of the Dinosaurs and Machines in the card pool available to them. You can easily make a pile deck

Varying the type distribution a bit wouldn’t hurt. With Mitsurigi, they showed they’re capable, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t mind seeing dragons, machines, and pretty girls in every set. If OCG can’t vary it (at least not consistently), TCG can lend a hand from time to time

I was really hoping they’d tackle making a new Sea Serpent Fusion deck next after doing Reptile Ritual. Fusion doesn’t really have a major WATER deck after all these years and Sea Serpent themes are only covered by the archetypes Atlanteans and Kai-Ryushin(two monsters and 3 spell/traps) and the Deep Sea and Daedalus series.

      • D.D not D/D on June 19, 2025 3:52 pm

Yeah, there are a lot of tribes that are quite neglected. It doesn’t help that similar themes are divided into different categories, like fish, sea serpents, and aqua monsters

Also it is implied we might get the other half of this engine as fairy support based on the fusion cards.
