    (1) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can take 1 “Sangen” Spell/Trap from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or Set it.
    (2) You take no battle damage from battles involving your FIRE Dragon monsters.
    (3) Once per turn, during the Battle Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon using this card you control.

    (3) If this card is destroyed during the Battle Phase: You can target 1 Dragon Synchro Monster you control; its ATK becomes doubled.

    You can only activate 1 card with this card’s name per turn.
    (1) If this card was activated outside the Battle Phase, apply 1 of these effects. If it was activated during the Battle Phase, you can apply any of them, in sequence.
    ● Add 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE Dragon monster from your Deck to your hand.
    ● Special Summon 1 FIRE Dragon monster from your hand.

    Translator notes:

    • Tenpai is a play on Tenpai, which is a tile short of winning in Mahjong. Comparatively, it’s like declaring Check in Chess.
    • Sangen here refers to probably a play on the Sangenpai, three tiles representing a White, Red and Green Dragon, that represent the three core Confucian Values: Filial Piety (respect for your parents/elders), Humane behavior, and a respect for ritual (i.e. doing things a certain way has a purpose).

        Serious? Centurion has one of the best designs in the game. Stop hating waifus regardless and being a fanboy of mages and dragons. But I guess I might forgive you if you don’t know the masterpiece that archetype is based on.

      “Bident Dragion”… I think these guys might be connected to an older Synchro, Trident Dragion.

        There’s alot of archtypes that seemed to based on a previous Boss monster coming out : Hungry Burger, Gate Guardian, Skull Guardian and Horus.

        Yes, almost like this archetype was specifically made for that monster in mind. All monsters are FIRE Dragon and have effects that activate when a certain number of attacks are declared during the Battle Phase (working with Trident’s multiple attacks). The bosses can destroy a card they control, the Field Spell wants to be destroyed during the Battle Phase, and the Levels of the Tuner and non-Tuner(s) add up to 10.

      So deficient are we in Ritual and Fusion FIRE archetypes, that yet ANOTHER FIRE Synchro deck is exactly what we needed.

        Maybe 2 of the one that summons from GY. And even then, only because of lack of options. You run as many blasters and baby blasters with them as you can. the standart Meta package and there you go. How far that will carry you I have no idea. This deck makes Black rose and Rudy, and Trident Dragon. Plus their own dragons. THat’s not a lot. But then again most decks can’t do much during the BP.

      I think there’s more Mahjong reference in their names. The three main dragons seem to all have ドラ “dora” in the name. This is the same way you would refer to “dora” as in the special value tiles in a Mahjong game that give you 1 han extra in scoring, if your hand contains them. I also notice the red dragon is “Chundora” where “chun” is the very name of the red dragon tile itself. Thinking about it, I also believe the “Pai” on white dragon could be referring to the Chinese word for white. I’m not sure about the “Fa” because I don’t really know Chinese, but I suspect it also refers to the color green in some way because otherwise it would be odd that the red one specifically says “chun” but the others aren’t related to their color.

      I also feel like “Sangen Shouryuu” may be referring to “shousangen,” which is a yaku in Mahjong often called “little three dragons.” I can’t tell if it’s written the same, but it could be a bit of a verbal pun. Basically you win by having triplets of any two of the dragon tiles as well as a pair of the remaining one. I was thinking the bigger Synchro monster should refer to “daisangen” which is a better yaku where you win by having triplets of all three dragons, but I’m not quite sure how to make this work.

      Lastly, I felt like the Level 3 monsters were chosen to be Level 3 since you need a triplet of dragon tiles to have yakuhai with sangen tiles. The last one being Level 4 puts a little hole in this idea, though.
