Didn’t we like get new Melodious support this Set and we still have Vaalmonica as one of the Deck Build Pack Archetypes that will eventually get support down the line and we got Age of Overlord that gave us the new Z-ARC cards?
And rituals apparently, unless you have a monster that can ritual summon like Silenforce

Pendulums have been a big mistakes, this is the consequence
The Mistake wasn’t Pendulums, it was not having any restraint when designing the support. Starter Deck Yuya with the 4 different Odd-Eyes was definitely a omen of things to come, because that’s when they completely went all in on supporting the mechanic without considering balance. Dokurobat Joker for example. Pendulum itself was powerful, but it couldn’t be abused by all decks and pendulum focused decks couldn’t just do everything they wanted as they couldn’t recoup their losses that easily. Pendulum Summoning all the monsters in your hand wouldn’t give you a bunch of advantage, because plusses weren’t that powerful until later, and you’d probably go -4 or more to do that. The only big problem was Cyber Dragon Infinity since he could break plays, but everyone had access to him.
Please tell me how Pendulums were the big mistake while we have Links that are inherently immune to all level applying effects, all battle position manipulation, avoid DEF calculation, have their own special monster zone and use the easiest summoning requirements of all the special summons types. They even have an alternate path to the requirements built in that doesn’t require any outside effects to access. A card type that debuted with a ruling to gatekeep the entire extra deck unless you used them and are still gatekeeping pendulums in a terrible sloppy attempt to ‘fix’ the mechanic by binding it to an even more broken card type than Pendulums will ever be.
Quick history lesson for sense of Beelze as “the original sin” and having the apple: Lucifer, Samael, Beelzebub, and Satan are all terms that were labbed onto mortal/fallen angel groups and the snake in Eden. So they can get away with this.

This Is not Anti-Spell, it doesnt stop your opponent from activating a card that was set this turn
It does, however, pop a card on each field when a s/t is set, which can destroy a card before it can be activated in a lot of cases.

Pendulum was a mistake. Giving a 5 mat summon is the stupidest thing a designer could have come up with.

This is such a powerful card, especially if you aren’t reliant on the Trap. This is one of the single best floodgates in the game against Purrely, keeps the Sinful Spoils engine in check, slows Impermanence and Droplet and Evenly…and of course, if there’s a good combo that makes this with Dark Simorgh, then things get really fun. It just needs to find a home, which is tough since Chimera is basically the only deck that can search this(and kinda Labrynth, in a roundabout way). It’s part of the lore, though, so I’m sure it will get more support
Ah, never mind, Cycle is a Sinful Spoils, everyone and their mother can search it if they want to. Then again, the other Sinful Spoils are really strong too, but everyone still prefers to summon Level 1 FIRES more than Set those. Is Cycle any different for being usable without Diabellestar but requiring a pseudo-brick in the deck? Maybe Populus can change the math for running more Sinful Spoils cards, but I’m not sure.
