    Phantom Revengers (TCG)

    SatchmoBy SatchmoAugust 4, 202563 Comments

The next Deck Build Pack is announced for the TCG. More info soon?

Phantom Revenge brings three brand-new themes so you can take vengeance on your competition! Dedicated Duelists and collectors can get their hands on both Collector’s Rare and Starlight Rare upgrades in Phantom Revenge!

“Hecahands” are all about grabbing your opponent’s cards and making them yours! This high-Level theme, inspired by the hundred-handed giants of legend, is an Illusion Fusion-based strategy that welcomes your opponent’s monsters with open arms (and hands)!

Anybody with this many hands is gonna be pretty grabby, and Hecahands just can’t stop themselves from grabbing your opponent’s monsters! Whether your opponent’s monster is in their hand, Deck, Extra Deck, or Graveyard, the Hecahands have something that can grab that opponent’s monster and Summon it to YOUR field – permanently!

Hecahands also have plenty of other tools, to swap out each other in your Deck, Special Summon themselves, or even negate your opponent’s Spells & Traps – and take them for your own use!

But Hecahands are just the start! Two more themes are coming in Phantom Revenge – but more about that later!

A Flip theme that will punish your opponent for any action that they might take!

Synchro Tuner Monsters play a tune that’s just to die for!

    Phantom Revenge contains 60 cards:
    ・10 Ultra Rares
    ・10 Super Rares
・40 Rares (some also available as Super Rare upgrades)
15 cards also available as Collector’s Rares
10 cards also available as Starlight Rares

    Each pack contains 7 cards:
    1 foil card per pack
    6 Rare cards per pack

      Just call them Hecatoncheries FFS

    2. V on August 4, 2025 12:55 pm

There’s even a real, actual name for these guys – Centimanes – that’s easier for dumb Americans to pronounce, and yet we’re stuck with Hecahands because the localisation team are a bunch of puddle slurping troglodytes

      • stave69 on August 4, 2025 1:30 pm

I’m rolling over the floor, seeing someone this made over a name

      • JD on August 4, 2025 2:59 pm

        Ygorganization?
        More like “Cry about localization”
        amirite???

      • Kadron on August 4, 2025 3:20 pm

I am also mad, its a dumb name and our hatred is justified.

      • Joe on August 4, 2025 5:45 pm

Seriously hecahands couldve been called anythingelse….this is as bad as Unchained or Dogmatika. The localize team are idiots 🙄

      • Caleb on August 4, 2025 6:46 pm

Joe no no this is bottom of the barrel trash localization

Guess they don’t care about Greek mythology. What a disappointment

    3. observances, fish liker on August 4, 2025 12:57 pm

yknow ive seen some baffling tcg translations in my time but this one’s pretty bad

(that being said i still dont forgive the OCG for just translating Ghoti directly so like, there’s blame to go around)

      • Weight wight Pappylarion on August 4, 2025 1:07 pm

        :((((( Ruddy Rose Dragon

      • e31174 on August 4, 2025 3:12 pm

Do people still get upset at Ruddy Rose Dragon? Like “Ruddy” is a word that means “blood red”, it’s pretty good translation all things considered.

      • Dread on August 4, 2025 8:20 pm

Yes, because “Blood” was perfectly acceptable.
Ruddy might fight, but phonetically it sounds stupid and is generally not a word you would ever hear

      • The President of the United States on August 5, 2025 6:11 am

Don’t kid yourselves. Ruddy was fine.

    4. Gomu on August 4, 2025 1:10 pm

I usually don’t speak much about the translations that TCG does because most I find fine at worst, but this…this is actually awful. Hecahands? Really? That’s what you choose to name them? Just calling them Hundred-Hands if you want it to be easy to pronounce for a child or whatever.

    5. Bruno Santo on August 4, 2025 1:11 pm

      “Hecahands”, huh?

Yeah, many Hecatoncheire Monsters will have names that are censored in the West.

    6. William on August 4, 2025 1:12 pm

Hecahands? Hecahand-ing them the biggest L in YGO history. At least Fur Hire was funny.

      • Coffee on August 4, 2025 1:16 pm

Fur Hire was slightly funny… Until they decided that the effects Fur Hire all had to be read like an insane person wrote them. Fur Hire. Do that on one card max, not an entire Archetype.

      • Bruno Santo on August 4, 2025 1:20 pm

        I will never forget Maliss!

      • Goatanda on August 6, 2025 7:46 am

Fur Hire was fine to get le reddit gold I guess. But Skyfang Brigade is such a cool name and I am still salty they didn’t use it.

^people getting legitimately upset over words in the name of a set of bad cards nobody will play unless they get busted support. Get a life you dorks, there’s too much to live for out there to get upset over words on a piece of cardboard not being to your exact liking.

Just because their opinion doesn’t please you, you think they’re dorks?

    11. gekko on August 4, 2025 1:40 pm

Leave it to the tcg staff to take an easy paycheck name that’s a-ok being transliterated as is and do extra work to make it worse for no reason.

    12. a on August 4, 2025 1:56 pm

      tactical try pack when?

    13. Pineapple on August 4, 2025 2:08 pm

“Hecahands”? Really Konami? WTF is wrong with using the proper name “Hecatoncheir”?

    16. Dudegrey on August 4, 2025 3:09 pm

Shower avoiders malding over comedy gold like Hechahands. Will then goon furiously over inevitable little girl archetype.

      • Coffee on August 4, 2025 7:54 pm

Only people without an argument mad over nothing would paint people they disagree with a stinky or shower avoiders. People just don’t like the name, accept that.

Made me reply not out of anger but out of pity for how low effort this bait is

    17. Anon7524 on August 4, 2025 3:50 pm

Why are people hating on this localization for Hecahands so much when it’s actually arguably better than the suggested ones. It’s a pun on the two light guys/counter traps and taking your opponent stuff along with the reference to the actual Hecatoncheries they are based on. It’s a cool, memorable name, that is easy to pronounce, and is a pun which is a benefit😅. I’d rather have something cool like this 9/10 times, over a name that makes more sense to direct translation like Hecatoncheries or Centimane🔥

      • V on August 4, 2025 3:55 pm

There’s no accounting for bad taste but also in literally no way shape or form is this a pun, or even a play on words. It’s a mangled partial translation of the name “Hundred-Hands”.

      • Anon on August 6, 2025 3:45 pm

That’s what makes it pun, my guy, with it being a partial translation😅 . That’s the pun and you seem to be angry more than appreciative that it’s actually pronounceable and funny in the west😂. Hecatoncheire would never be pronunced right phonetically ever in the west would be an insult to the Greek Culture tbh as well

    18. Name* on August 4, 2025 4:17 pm

Smh, always gotta be a couple Konami bootlickers among us. The commenters here deserve to be mad over this change. This is top 3, if not, the worst one they’ve ever done.

      • Dudegrey on August 5, 2025 2:41 am

        You’re unemployed.

      • Faith, KOD on August 7, 2025 11:54 am

get a life, you don’t know anything, and you probably don’t play yugioh

    19. Draco on August 4, 2025 4:56 pm

they didn’t want the archetype to be called “hecking chonker”

    20. ScionStorm on August 4, 2025 4:57 pm

The TCG can push full Japanese names for the Mitsurigi but freak over a Greek mythical name? Is this some kind of racism?

    21. HFIL on August 4, 2025 5:16 pm

I tend to not care much about the name, but really? So lame. What are Enneacraft and Killertune gonna be called? Inaship and Loud Noise?

      • J.T. on August 4, 2025 5:39 pm

in German then … “TÖTUNGSLÄRM”…. *praying that wont come*

      • Benjo on August 4, 2025 7:25 pm

        Kilyrical and Enneairship

      • Faith, KOD on August 7, 2025 11:55 am

Kilyrical actually slaps for a card name you might be onto something…

    22. Luckyno5 on August 4, 2025 5:23 pm

Now we wait for killertune info

    23. Flatbush on August 4, 2025 6:57 pm

      What the heck!

    24. yukicrewger2 on August 4, 2025 9:10 pm

      1) Just calling it “Hecaton” would be better
      2) when will they be revealing the “Enneacraft” and “Killertune” cards?
      3) which one will be revealed next?

    25. ScionStorm on August 4, 2025 9:38 pm

      Which seems more logical?
      1) People who care about the name commenting about it.
      2) People who don’t care commenting about how they don’t and either making fun of people who do or lecturing them to stop caring too.

    26. OrochiHale on August 4, 2025 10:13 pm

Konami localization team are actual r3tards

      • ScionStorm on August 5, 2025 12:41 am

TCG localization team have been menaces for generations.

    27. Rumor Hunter on August 4, 2025 11:45 pm

…If you needed to swap the name, why didn’t you go with HunHands, or CentenHand or something else.

HecaHands is just…goofy…but then I’m still mad they turned Raika into Ragnaraika for no reason.

      • Namesky on August 5, 2025 7:42 am

Please be joking with these ideas. Your “better” names make Hecahands actually sound like a good and sane name. Never cook again.
The only acceptable alternative would be *Centimane” because it’s just other word for these creatures in mythology. The name used in Japanese would be kind of bad in TCG because we don’t really have phonetic descriptions of how the hell to read certain foreign words.

    28. Orga on August 5, 2025 1:13 am

Why you guys are so worked up. This localized name at least better than better than Valmonica into Vaaaaaaaaalmonica.

      • Zan on August 5, 2025 1:55 am

I’d take Hecatoncheireeee over Heckin hands any day. They’ve had a lot of bad localizations in recent times especially but this is just cringe

      • TheOne on August 5, 2025 7:06 am

They literaly only added a extra a

The cards are still called Valmonica in the furigana with just a extra letter so dunno what exactly you are trying to prove here

    29. Namesky on August 5, 2025 7:45 am

Around 90% if people being mad about this change always called them Heck-a-ton Chairs, so they automatically lose right to complain.

      • HFIL on August 5, 2025 12:16 pm

        Citation needed.

      • Microsoft Edge on August 5, 2025 4:34 pm

Only North Americans speak like this, people from other countries never speak like this.
