“If the effect of Neo-Spacian Dark Panther gained by Phantom of Chaos is used to gain the effects of my opponent’s Phantom of Chaos, can the additional gained effect be activated?”
Q: If a Phantom of Chaos that gained the name and effects of Neo-Spacian Dark Panther uses that effect to further gain the effects of a Phantom of Chaos my opponent controls, can I activate the effect gained from that Phantom of Chaos?
A: No, you cannot.
“If Book of Moon is chained to the effect of Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, can I Flip Summon it during the same turn?”
Q: I activate the effect of Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, but Book of Moon is chained and changes Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress to face-down Defense Position. In this case, can I Flip Summon Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress during the same turn? Also, if a Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress whose effect was activated cannot change to Defense Position when its effect resolves, or if the targeted Spell/Trap Card cannot be destroyed, will the part of the effect that prevents it from changing its battle position until the end of my next turn be applied?
A: It cannot be Flip Summoned that turn. (The part of the effect “this card’s battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn” is still applied.)
Also, even if Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress cannot be changed to Defense Position or the targeted Spell/Trap Card cannot be destroyed when resolving its effect, the part of the effect “this card’s battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn” is still applied.

“Can Red Reboot be activated if Dark Simorgh is on the field?”
Q: (A) When my opponent activates a Trap Card while the effect of their Dark Simorgh is applying, can I activate Red Reboot?
(B) If I activate a Trap Card while the effect of my opponent’s Dark Simorgh is applying, can my they activate Red Reboot?
A: (A) It can be activated. In that case, the activation of the Trap is negated, but it cannot be Set, so it is sent to the GY due to having its activation negated. Furthermore, the part of the effect of Red Reboot “then they can Set 1 other Trap directly from their Deck” is not applied, but the part of the effect “for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards” is applied.
(B) It can be activated. In that case, the activation of the Trap is negated and it Set face-down again, but the part of the effect of Red Reboot “then they can Set 1 other Trap directly from their Deck” is not applied (and you do not look through your Deck for a card). Furthermore, the part of the effect “for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards” is applied.
“What happens to Evilswarm Thunderbird if it was banished by its own effect while the effect of Prohibition is applying?”
Q: “Evilswarm Thunderbird” was declared for the effect of Prohibition. If an Evilswarm Thunderbird that was already on the field before the effect of Prohibition was applied is then banished by its own effect, will it return to the field during the next Standby Phase? Also, if Prohibition is activated and “Evilswarm Thunderbird” is declared while an Evilswarm Thunderbird is currently banished by its own effect, will it return to the field during the next Standby Phase?
A: In either case, if the effect of Prohibition is applying when Evilswarm Thunderbird would return to the field during the next Standby Phase, it cannot return to the field and is placed in the GY instead.
“Can I choose The Eye of Timaeus or Dark Burning Attack with the effect of Dark Magic Inheritance?”
Q: If I activate Dark Magic Inheritance, can I add The Eye of Timaeus or Dark Burning Attack from my Deck to my hand?
A: You cannot add either. The effect of Dark Magic Inheritance allows you to add 1 of the following cards from your Deck to your hand:
– A Spell/Trap Card whose text has the card name “Dark Magician” written in its text.
– A Spell/Trap Card whose text has the card name “Dark Magician Girl” written in its text.
The text of The Eye of Timaeus states that it targets 1 “Dark Magician” monster you control, but here ‘“Dark Magician” monster’ refers to any monster with “Dark Magician” written in its name, and is not referring to the specific card called “Dark Magician”.
Also, the text of Dark Burning Attack states that it can be activated if you control a “Dark Magician Girl” monster, but ‘”Dark Magician Girl” monster’ refers to any monster with “Dark Magician Girl” written in its name, and is not referring to the specific card called “Dark Magician Girl”.
Therefore, you cannot add either The Eye of Timaeus or Dark Burning Attack to your hand with the effect of Dark Magic Inheritance. You also cannot choose The Eye of Timaeus or Dark Burning Attack if you activate any of the following effects:
– Timaeus the United Dragon
– Magician’s Rod
– Dark Magical Circle
– Soul Servant
