Level 2 WATER Machine Tuner Effect Monster

You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon 1 “Crystron” monster from your Deck, except “Crystron Tristalos”, then, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Machine monster using that monster you control.
(2) You can banish this card from your GY; destroy 1 Synchro Monster you control, then Special Summon 2 “Crystron” monsters from your Deck, also you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine monsters.
Note: This card has the horns of, and 1000 less ATK and DEF than True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer.

(2) The first time each of your “Crystron” monsters would be destroyed by battle each turn, it is not destroyed.
(3) You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 “Crystron” monster in your GY; Special Summon it.

You can only use the 2nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) “Crystron” cards you control cannot be banished by your opponent’s card effects.
(2) You can target 1 face-up card on the field, or up to 2 if you control a “Crystron” Synchro Monster; shuffle 1 “Crystron” card from your GY or banishment into the Deck, except “Crystron Cluster”, and if you do, destroy the targeted cards.

At the moment Tristalos is mistranslated, it doesn’t lock you into Machines full stop, it locks you into them from the extra. Which is slightly interesting, because I think the old Crystrons specifically lock you into Machine Synchros.

Probably in case Halqifibrax comes back. I hope it’s a long time before it does, though. I’m STILL salty about them banning Jet Synchron before Halq, even though the latter was clearly more broken.

They destroy themselves, summon from everywhere, lock themselves into machines and Synchro on your opponent’s turn.
Also their Level 9 bosses – Crystron Phoenix and Crystron Quariongandrax – are awesome. I use them in other decks that can make them.

When another Dracostory archetype got support before Dinomist and Ignister got their waves of support that Konami heavy implied to be coming about a year ago.

Yeah a synchro effect lock maybe, it was made to be semi-generic so locking u into machines just feels wrong

and I think that’s all you really need.
Yearly Dracostory reminder: Mariamne still doesn’t have a counterpart WIND archetype. Crystrons are counterpart to Bahrastos. Given Metalfoes, Crystron and Zoodiac represent Fusion, Synchro and Xyz, the ‘lost’ archetype would be the second WIND Ritual deck of the game behind Shinobirds which are still not an archetype.

Nah. We still don’t have an official WIND Ritual archetype and the story after Dracos, World Legacy, has 6 archetypes each with a minimum 3 Links.
Does this mean we’re getting a Metalfoes with Agnimazud features and a Zoodiac with Lithosagym features? Not sure if Konami will ever release more zoos tho on account of their zodiac theming so idk who they could have past their original 12 members
Yes, it’s called Metalfoes Vanisher.
Metalfoes was the first new Dracostory support. We got Metalfoes in 2021, Dracoslayers in 2022, Majespecter in 2023 and now Crystron in 2024. I’m surprised, though, that we didn’t get a Crystron Synchro-Pendulum.
I mean, the chinese zodiac has a story about the cat, which almost made it in time for the race that decided which animals would be in it, but was tricked by the rat and barely ended as the 13th or something.
They could make a Zoodiac based on that.
Crystron cards in 80 is weird. Usually it is slot for meme, fun theme Trap Card.
So the slots in this pack might be very tight and little to no room for filler cards.
Still hoping for Paleozoic support(3 traps, 2 Xyz) and Frog support(1 TADPOLE effect Mon, 2 Fusions, 1 Field and 1 Fusion Spell)

I LOVE THIS, i don’t know if it is any good but i will totally try it out once it reaches master duel… in god knows how many years at this point… i am still waiting for infernoids.
Please let this mean that Halqifibrax is coming back with en errata that makes him only usable in his own deck.
