The Japanese Twitter has revealed the top 5 cards being chosen for Sleeves, and one is a gag card.
As of September 10th, the current top 5 cards are:
- Silent Magician (The recent remake)
- Supreme King Z-ARC
- Traptrix Rafflesia
- Morinphen
- Red-Eyes B. Dragon
Now someone here is probably wondering what Morinphen from Metal Raiders is doing here. The simple reason is Morinphen is essentially the quintessential “High Level Terrible Stats” Normal Monster. For Japanese players, it is essentially their version of Shapesnatch or Skull Servant (before Skull Servant became good).
(Incidentally, for some reason, this card shares the same Japanese name as Morinfen, a card from Magic the Gathering who is related to the story of Phyrexia.)
