It’s strong no ? X)
I’m searching to play it alongside to Tistina
Waiting to hear. “This is not what the deck needs”. LOL
Mimighoul kinda sucks though and Fairy got some hands on her. Wonder if she can crush walnuts. Big chunky Walnuts…
How do they suck?
weirdo
AI auto correct… ugh. Mimighoul Armor sucks.
Sure, Armor’s flip effect isn’t good, but what matters is that it is arguably the easiest to SS on your side of the field turn one.
2 secret rares, goddamn
For some reason TCG exclusive archtypes always seem to be mostly holo, even if the deck like War Rock was is terrible.
How can you tell? By the color of the name?
Yeah, color of card name is usually a somewhat good indicator of rarity.
I’m surprised Mimighoul hasn’t received a Fusion Spell Card or Fusion Monster like other TCG Archetypes have.
At least the cards here seem decent?
PS: I’ll just go on to say that Mimighoul’s Artwork seems like something that would easily fit into Rush Duels (it doesn’t stray far from the aesthetics of the Monsters in that format)
🙄 every time with Bruno isn’t it. Enough.
Every monster in the first wave but Master was Level 1 so this was setting up Rank 1 or Link plays, which many saw coming.
Not everything has to get a Fusion
I can see this going to tier 1-2. Deck is filthy!
The deck is unplayable against dark, water and fire decks sadly, since dominus impulse shuts down their earth monsters effect
@Gorz U know that the dominus trap only lock the user not the opponent? Right? And u know can just not use the impulse and instead use purge.
Dominus Impulse locks the user out of Earth effects, so the Mimighouls you give to your opponent will never activate their effects because they are in control of your opponent when their flip effects would activate.
You pretty much instantly lose if they successfully resolve Dominus Impulse from the hand during that duel, and that sounds very plausible with the card being at 3 and every single Mimighoul except Maker meeting its activation condition.
Hope this helps!
@atomicnmare Thx now the argument make sense
Dominus doesn’t completely shut it down. Just slows it down. Doesn’t effect the FS effect of floodgating. Your resource generating is slowed. That’s an issue but not game ending.
I guess it is time to build Mimighoul around DNA Transplant and/or cards like Lair of Darkness.
That said… cards like DNA Transplant can lock the player who used Dominus Impulse, when their opponent declares e.g. WIND.
Mimighoul doubters in SHAMBLES.
“Anyway, activate Dominus Impulse. Response?”
“OK. Send face-down monster to GY to summon Diabellstar. Response?”
“Ah Ha! This one card stops this play its all trash now!”
Enlong, every deck has a counter or some weaknesses. Thats like saying Yubel is bad because Power Filter exists. Its a good deck, it doesn’t have to be insanely broken to be worthwhile
Its not like power filter for yubel at all. impulse is a card you can activate from the hand, its requirements will be met in every game, it floodgates the mimighoul player out for the rest of the game. completely uninteractable after it resolves, as opposed to other floodgates that either can be removed or have a time limit. also pretty much uninteractable when its activated.
its the worst hard counter to a deck thats (probably) ever been, and impulse is gonna be a staple for a long time, probably… a three of staple which you can draw in a grind and still its broken (so its not even that you have to hard draw it). its also not specific in the slightest cuz that card is great for any deck that can play it, and sees value in most matchups.
Mimighoul fumbles the second wave hard.
You couldn’t find bigger bait than this comment in a tackle shop.
Only 3/7 cards are good.
The only bad card here is Charm. Every other one is very usable.
@flackenstien
Fork is bad, as is Charm, Armor is also pretty bad. The other stuff is very good though.
How is Fork bad? Just ebcause your opponent gets to choose doesn’t mean that card is bad. It applies a hefty amount of pressure, and either outcome is fine.
Armor isn’t bad, you underestimate how toxic his battle protection will be and he’s as good of an extender as Fairy, and their extension effect is a hard once per turn, so he’s at minimal a very nice 1-of.
This support is VERY solid.
So any deck that can make 2 level 1s can dip into Mimighoul. What are the odds of Lyrilusc Mimighoul being viable?
Worth pointing out because it’s easy to miss, but the conditions for summoning the 3 new main deck monsters to your field face-up are different on each one: Armor your opponent controls a monster; Fairy you control a Mimighoul; and Slime your opponent controls more monsters than you do. Kinda weird.
I love this archetype!
I was already making jokes that this Archetype was perfect for Flip Turner, and now they give them a pair of Xyz monsters as well? I can suddenly see Flip being added to Duel Links now… XD
Dang! You’re 100% right!
More than just being Flip Monsters, they have in-theme Xyz to work towards. And they fit the philosophy and personality Flip had in general.
Having a card that lets you steal from the opponent’s Extra Deck also helps this comparison.
good thing I have a playset of all the 1st wave in case they went up
It looks fun and seems more playable than tistina at least. Not a big fan of lingering floodgate effect and extra deck mill tho. Those are kinda toxic.
I still don’t know what they were thinking on Tristina effects or even the artwork kinda had me abit confused.
Dominus Impulse, response?
Just had a thought about Mimighoul Armor. It’s finally an in-archetype card that would be a good second choice for Mimighoul Maker. That way, even if they end up with Armor instead of Archfiend, Slime, or Fairy they still (if they can’t just send it face-down for Black Witch, Super Poly, etc.) wouldn’t be able break your board by battle at least.
Konami please, Im begging you, please make a Mimighoul Ninja. Im playing them with ninjas and they are incredibly fun, and have a very cool synergy with each other. Imagine how cool a crossover which helps both would be!
I never expected a monster that appeared in the trivia of mimighoul spell will be printed as a card.
It’s a waifu monster from a brand new archetype. I’d be more surprised if they didn’t print her as her own card.
