I like that Theorealize Liberation can also search most Kuribohs in addition to the Power Patrons.
Don’t forget some of the Skull Servant’s families too.
This should be the last BRPO VJMP article. Next should be TW03.
How do you know, o’wise internet stranger ?
@Somebeody
Not OP but let me answer your question
By learning the reveal pattern for each products, reveals are usually ordered according to a product’s release date
With today’s reveal there are 29 unrevealed cards in Burst Protocol:
– Around 10-12 cards will be revealed from OCG Times stream
– Around 7-9 cards will be revealed from Twitter
– While the other cards will be revealed from official database, 1 day before release
With this count, we should be done with Burst Protocol and move on to the next set which is Terminal World 3
Bro i hope the next revealed card for TW03 was Naturia. Cope
GUSTO support will be revealed tomorrow, for sure.
The lore theme is almost always the last VJMP reveal for a core set.
There have been times where the pattern broke but it is true more likely than not.
Plus we already have a sizable 20 cards revealed already this month.
With only 29 left, that’s plenty to cover in social media dailies and the OCG Times.
Me likey but kinda sad it’s still dragon/spellcaster
dragon?
There is no dragon in this. The boss cards are Plant and Fiend.
These are a weird Synchro theme
So they’re Idol Elves fighting for centre stage
Medea was corrupted(?) by the DoomZ Patron and the Artmage students took him to the elves to save him?
Artmage Litera revealed to be a Elvenote here as well so she guided them here.
By the looks of it, yeah, but their method of travel (Homecoming Paralleism) basically caused Medius to be connected to the Elvennotes Power Patron (Reunion Tercet), meaning he had three Power Patrons worth of power in him, and when they tried to remove it (Oracle Alicetea), Medius turned into Stlitzia (Maddening Rhapsodia)
but that’s just a guess.
What is up with Medius that all of these Power Patrons just love to use and abuse his body like that?
He cute
Each power praton has one own but case of DoomZ it will transfer to winner of battle which mean he still here because gang beat Drastia in last EP, Also DoomZ form is born by Medius steal Copy DoomZ from Grafare hand before he going to absorb all DoomZ Arms and berserk make it split on both guys.
So much potential.
For Table 500? Maybe.
You guys get that many players at a regional?
Dark Magician support. LIGHT/DARK Level 6 Spellcaster criteria, 300/200 = Magikuriboh, and Spell Card criteria all for DM of Destruction. It’s a 1 card combo that can setup 6 negates with Shining Sarcophagus. Insane.
Overhyping
What are you talking about? Both engines dont bridge into each other at all?
Also Neo Ark hates Dark Magician. So how ironic is that.
What.
Based if true.
@TheDMGenius
Would you care to elaborate, please?
I really need to know if Stlitzia’s second effect locks if you don’t modulate everyone’s levels, like, I don’t understand if it is Effect optional then Effect + Lock or Effect then optional Effect + lock
Hurray for Kuriboh support!
New Power Patron has special summon locking clause. Obviously people will attempt to throw it at opponent’s side of the field. Konami will never learn.
The first had a locking clause, and do you see it doing?
all of the power patrons have a lock clause for their representive summoning mehtod and no one ever said “let’s throw that at my opponent”
deck gonna struggle from anything that can block their center mmz
Just tribute summon. The monsters are lvl 6 aka one tribute
When you ask Medius about his sleep paralysis demon:
Another archetype from this storyline I have next to no interest in.
Cool, not everything in this game is meant to be tailor made to your interests Mr. Erdutio
Never said that. I usually have liked at least one of the storyline archtypes in recent years but the Artmage/DoomZ/Elvnote or whatever have been batting zero.
Nobody cares about your feelings. Konami does NOT design the game around you. Don’t like it? Then quit and go play LORCANA.
lmao @ people getting mad at you and then pretending it’s your feelings being hurt
I agree. Each of these archetypes just hasn’t felt that inspired. ‘Magic elves that are idols’ feels like pandering to me, plenty of card games already have magical idol characters. And other games and movies too. These ones just really stand out to me.
@Ajax Oops, *don’t stand out to me.
@VG This place has some poor reading comprehension. Again like I told KingCobra I never said they have to design the game around my tastes.
I feel the Artmage/DoomZ/Elves have been uninspired both gameplay and lore wise. They are mediocre at best decks in viability as well.
I don’t like these archetypes compared to the storyline archetypes we’ve gotten in the past few years. That’s called an opinion which you have a problem with apparently.
Am I missing something? This seems like the worst archetype in the Power Patron storyline, for now.
Im pretty sure some key piece is missing
The main deck monsters have some issues of getting on to the board (emediately clogging it up, if not moved or removed), and all the math is a bit strange, to the point where you cant even uses medius with the patron to summon anything that isnt a generic level 5 synchro, and nobody can summon anything if the main deck patron uses its level modulation, without a ton of extra work and weird setups
In my eyes, they are either missing a level 8 synchro, or some card that can repeatedly summon tokens
You do know there’s a Diactorus missing, right? Artmage and DoomZ got a “Diactorus” monster for their decks. Willing to bet there’s gonna be a “Diactorus” synchro for this deck that’ll fill that gap in.
@Vg Even with that, its core game plan seems bad. I’m basing it on the first wave, and in that context, the worst. I don’t think a Diactoros changes that, but we’ll see.
The weird thing is that if we’re going by the card arts, the ‘Diactorus’ of this archetype is actually ‘Stlitzia’ (looks like Medius under the influence of whatever the hell’s going on as depicted in the backrow), unless we’re assuming that that card’s meant to be to this deck what Drastrius was to DoomZ (and also assuming that they didn’t reveal the real Diactorus now for some odd reason).
Them making Stlitzia a Level 7 feels odd (it’s either the Patron plus another Main Deck Elvennotes, or Medius turned Tuner paired with Litera or something), but past that the math is all VERY strange, Yod’s mostly correct (‘mostly’ only because the Main Deck Patron’s level modulation CAN summon something, and very specifically is BUILT for Junora jumpscares — the other Main Deck Elvennotes are all Level 6, Patron’s adding 3, and the Patron themselves is Level 1, that’s 10, that’s Junora).
’cause like, Medius plus the Patron? They’re right, that makes nothing so far because they made Stlitzia Level 7 instead of Level 8. Theorealize Liberation? Medius + a Lv6 Elvennotes makes Junora with that, but that’s the only thing it enables since even if we make Stlitzia by other means and they summon out another Elvennotes, Stlitzia’s affected by their own Level drop as well so you’d be stuck making 7 again if you Liberation’d either.
There’s definitely something missing for Medius to fully fit into this, but unfortunately I’m not sure we’re likely to get it here just yet . . . unfortunately. I’d love to be proven wrong, though — heavens knows there’s room for me to (there’s two empty slots between Stlitzia and Ripper/Millennia)! Given there’s some anime-related cards not yet revealed, though, good odds are those two slots are gonna go to another theme, alas (in much the same way Lunalight a pack or two ago by one reckoning or another got two new Fusions), so I’ve not much -hope- of being proven wrong and seeing an Elvennotes Diactorus manifest from the aether as BPRO-JP041.
Because I cannot Edit: Wow, okay, so apparently the Main Deck Patron CANNOT make Junora with the Main Deck monsters, because Junora wants TWO Non-Tuners and somehow I managed to miss that. No need to ding me for that, I’ve already noticed my folly.
So okay, knowing that now, I REALLY have to ask, why on Earth did they make Elvennotes Patron INCREASE Levels by 3 instead of raise OR lower Levels by 3? If it skewed Levels by 3 in EITHER direction it could turn two of the Main Deck Elvennotes and itself into Junora, but as it stands it gives us the LEVELS for Junora but not on its own, making it vastly different from the previous two patrons (who each made summoning their respective unsealed forms EASIER rather than more difficult — the Artmage one by packing Fusion Summoning into itself and having the name needed, the DoomZ one either by being one of the 3 Equip Spells you’d need to hard summon Jupiter or by using Theorealize Overdrive to skew something’s Level to 10).
I’m gonna just sit here and hope in vain that Elvennotes Power Patron got mistranslated and raises OR lowers something’s Level by 3 so that it can actually work to make Junora without us having to use Overdrive AGAIN to enable a direct summons.
So next set’s theme will be either Link or Ritual. Of course they wasted WIND on DoomZ Xyz and now FIRE on Elvennotes Synchros. The two attributes with the least Ritual monsters. Even if we do get a Ritual theme, its almost guaranteed now to add more to the most over-supported attributes in Ritual. :/
So, this Deck is a group of music-themed elves who aspire to become idols.
Interestingly, each of Medius’s companions is being developed in a way tied to the Faction they belong to (or belonged to)
Please just don’t let this series become one of those fantasy harem-collector stories. I’m sick of harem-collector anime.
If we get another theme that is. Based on the Bossmonsters the Medius Lore is based on the Capitoline Triad (DoomZ – Jupiter / Artmage – Nerva for Minerva and now Elvennotes with Juno) so it could be the last archetype.
They could use the Aventine Triad as the other half of the factions. WATER for Liber patron, EARTH for Ceres patron and DARK for Libera patron.
Oh hey, easy to summon level 6s whose primary extra deck mechanic is Synchro?
Revolution Synchron, looks like it’s finally your time to go into Power Tool Braver Dragon!
(Too bad the Synchro Power Patron needs 2 non-tuners. There aren’t actually a ton of good Sync-10 choices for the Revolution/Braver play :p)
Does the big synchro really need 2 non-tuners? Isnt it useless if so?
I think you can bypass that using the Lv1 monster. I THINK 🙃
You cannot bypass that requirement with the patron effect. You use the effect on the synchro 7 to set up 1+6+3. Somehow. I’m sure Medius is a 1 card for this if you use one of those busted synchro tuner 5s that needs a brick or two.
I’m pretty sure its meant to be summoned using the Lvl 7 Synchro’s Level Modulation effect with itself, Power Patron and one of the Main Decks
@thedrag0nk1ng @Giant Turtle Who Feeds On Dames I’m sure there’s gonna be a Level 5 Synchro Medius, being a “Diactorus” monster, along with this theme that helps Medius become a 1-card Junora more smoothly.
@Giant Turtle Who Feeds On Dames
You use the level 7 + two of the main deck level 6s. Level 7 becomes Level 4, and the 6s become 3s. 3+3+4 = 10.
I think that’s the intention, anyway.
Meh. Somehow made lore that is even less interesting than VIsa’s, except with even worse visuals.
-PASS-
Interesting that they decided to not give us a dedicated in-archetype Extra Deck monster to summon with just Medius + the level 1 Power Patron this time, but I suppose Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon already does basically everything you’d want one to do between bringing back the Power Patron to continue Synchro plays and giving you another way to quick Synchro that doesn’t require having a monster in the center.
Elvenotes feels like the equivalent of Icejade for Artmegia: moderate Special Summon, extremely specific Gimmick, and one of the earliest archetypes in the narrative. Although Artmegia is so heterogeneous that it’s hard to be 100% sure
Next set will probably be a warrior based link deck, focusing on Finmel
With lucina as starter a potential board can end like this
The synchro 7, blondie at center and blue hair, all of them with their level minus 3 (so ready for synchro 10)
Continuous spell and maddening trap at st
During ur opponent turn you can summon Lucinda with maddening and negate something, then u can use as disruption all of elven mons (so Lucina return a mon, blondie a st and blue hair banish a card from hand)
Finally you can special the lvl1 tuner in grave with seraphim and go for patron so ur field will be Patron, and two remaining elves
I see potential for their Continuous Spells in other decks.
walkure ga tomaranai
Artmage: Fusion, DoomZ: Xyz, Elvennote: Synchro.
Medius>Yuya?
Bro, your Visas Starfrost? He even has clones from another dimensions
These are secretly centur-ion support. They’re all different attributes so the discard cards are always live, medius can now summon primera Primus so he bridges the 2, Being lv6 means they allow for lv10 synchro access and they don’t have a field spell so no conflict there.
BTW the trap is “Aristia” mean peakest poetry. (the poem when that character is in peakest.)
I feel like something is missing in this archetype
Their (small) power patron doesnt work with their effect, neither for the archetype monsters, nor for medius
If used with medius, the total level would be 8 (3+4+1), which doesnt match the level of any of the archetype monsters, and with any of the maindeck archetype monsters it would be 10 BUT since Kunora needs 2 non tuners exactly, there no way of making it with that combination
If you use the 7 synchro without the level modulating effect, then 8 is your only option (if used with the small patron), or 11 with medius
If you use the modulation effect, you can use the 7 and 2 of the maindecks to make the big patron
You cant even use medius there, because if you use him to get the small patron, then he becomes one, and you cant even use his original level 4 to add the 2 level 3 monsters to the needed 10 (because the level modulation of the smaller synchro is all or nothing)
The deck either would have needed the small patron to modulate the level by “up to” 3, they would have needed a level 8 synchro, or they would have needed some way of producing tokens, or reduce levels by up to 2
As of right now, you will probably strugle to get all of the materials on the board, and medius wont be much of a help in this deck
Yeah, it seems Medius is not meant to mix in this deck, as of now. The red monster can go full combo by itself + 1 discard, but Medius actually clunks the board.
Are the translators sure that the Power Patron says “3” and not “UP to 3”? That would make a world of a difference.
Yeah, stuff feels really wrong and unnatural as it is now.
We’re missing the Level 5 “Diactorus” Synchro Medius becomes within this theme. If it doesn’t come in this core set, it’ll come in the next one.
Unbelievable levels of cringe
another idol girl-themed archetype to add to the pile next to solfachord and trickstar (among others)
anyways these look unplayable. at least maddening rhapsodia’s art has some pretty colors in it
Next set be an Elevennotes Diactorus.
cool mechanic but man more waifuslop is getting exhausting.
As a once ago Vaylantz OTP, i love the theme of these cards so friggin much!
i do however find it weird that the Patron (lvl 1 tuner) can’t use Medius the Pure to get to the archtype synchro since their combined levels would either be 5 or 8, not 7.
No way, I was requesting elf girl archetype around 11 hours ago. If only this power worked on venom. Shame the extras are monstrosities instead of more elf girls. Sheesh, already 2 arts featuring an unreleased one, what a tease. The official lore better establish that they are all terrible at reading basic social cues.
Welcome Surtr to my Nordic deck
Don’t think the kpop patron hunters url joke went to waste lol had a good laugh
The power pattern just needs to go to the other invocation such as ritual, pendulum, link. It would be very fun to see how far the story of Medius the Innocent goes
So does this mean the power patron deities are another god card trio? tbf, it’s been a while since we’ve had a god card trio, I think the last one was the Nordic Gods from 5Ds?
I really need to know if Stlitzia’s second effect locks if you don’t modulate everyone’s levels, like, I don’t understand if it is Effect optional then Effect + Lock or Effect then optional Effect + lock
Strichia’s lock is preceded by an “also” conjunction, so the lock applies regardless of whether the level reduction does.
We have Hatsune Miku at home
After embarking on a perilous voyage to skim these wall of text I will say the center monster zone gimmick is more idol-ish than anything trickstars ever did, also cyber dragon should’ve been a normal summon.
