It’s gonna confuse a lot of people when the 30th Anniversary roles around in a couple years.
There must be a lot of “breaking news” to dedicate 2 hours and 45 minutes over two days on it
The 30th Anniversary for the franchise as a whole is next year.
Wasn’t Yu-Gi-Oh first published in 1996?
Yes, but remember, we had stuff celebrating the 25th anniversary from before the date to around last year.
I suspect this is also where we will get the announcement on YGO9.
Maybe even Ritual Summons as a mechanic with the first Ritual cards announced here
sure it will be, given the amount of rush stages the event’s gonna have
Next year will be the 25th anniversary of the DM anime, so I wonder if they have anything special planned – especially since we’re expecting a new show announced soon as well.
I always used to feel nervous about Jump Festa after 2019 and the Sevens announcement burned me and the following years I always prayed that they would announce the end of Rush anime and that they were going back to the regular game,
Now I really don’t care. If they want to do Rush duel animes going forward then fine, because the alternative seems to be lore anime possibility which does not interest me either. Judging by the schedule on the 22nd there is clearly something they are going to announce, but my money is that it’s a red herring and the anime announcement will be during the Rush Duel stage on the 21st announcing a sequel series to Go Rush.
The days of getting a new anime alongside a new summoning method and a new Master Rule are long gone and are clearly never coming back. Hope you Rush duel fans enjoy another 3 years of garbage!
Rush Duel is getting better rituals announced, Rush Duel is not garbage.
Rush duel as a concept is fine, it’s just the anime that sucks
ive easily enjoyed Sevens and Go Rush way more than the last 2 “real” anime series.
at least go rush never slammed Yuamu’s face into concrete when she lost to a creepy joker wannabe, or put Romin in a test tube for 30 episodes
Same feelings. Rush Duel is fine but what I always wonder is why Konami are so desperated about abandoning the traditional Duel anime as well as adjusting the Master Rules to make the game more healthy.
@Shush I used to be one of the guys who hated the Sevens anime when it announced because of the art. Now I am addicted to Sevens and Go Rush because of the plots quite serious and fun, not really childish at all but still logical. They make me think back a bit about my life, guide me to be a good adult looking at these happy kids and their stories.
At least give it a chance and watch all of the series, think a bit about it, instead of just hate it and never watch it just because they don’t look “serious” and “childish”. There are quite a few series out there look childish but viewers actually can learn a lot about it.

They’re business company, of course they have to fix the game to attract more customers. The more the better, it will never be enough. Especially when they’re focusing on YGO IP more than creating an original game, considering their previous originals are all flops.
What? Did Konami make original games?
ehm… have you ever looked at who made guitar hero?
