The latest “Official Card Game” Core Booster Pack “Chaos Origins” has been updated to include Over Frame cards and a new special pack included as a gift with each box. It has evolved in bold ways in a variety of ways, including changes in the composition of the cards included, in pursuit of ease of play! We’ll introduce 3 key factors as to how the pack has been updated!
Evolution Point: Over Frame Cards Are Also In Core Boosters!!
The “over Frame” Card Design which debuted in the February Special Pack “Limit Over Collection” are also included in core boosters! The new Deck aces “Black Chaos” and “Black Luster Soldiers” revealed on the next page also appear as Over Frame cards.
Evolution Point: Many Reprinted Cards, Including Ones With New Artwork! The “+1 Expansion Pack” Appears!!
Each Box comes with a new kind of special pack! The new “+1 Expansion Pack” appears! 14 Cards related to the included Decks come in Ultra Rare and Secret Rare, but are also reprinted as Prismatic Secret Rare, and 4 of those cards also come with brand new artwork illustrations.
Evolution Point: The Number Of Theme Decks You Can Build With Just The Cards In The Pack Have Increased
Differing from existing Core Boosters, “Chaos Origins” will increase the number of themes you can construct with just the cards in each pack! In this issue we’ll introduce one of those: Cards centered around “Ritual of Light and Darkness” which are on the next page.

Sounds like they are going back to orginal ideas instead of 1 new idea and 40 of the same old same old
Given the exemple they give is “Ritual of Light and Darkness”, it is more likely the opposite, recycling the old idea, but in such a way that it don’t work with the old stuff so the theme is buildable with just the pack, which would mean, ton of lazy retrains like “Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Light and Darkness”
Like “Ritual of Light and Darkness” is made in a way so it don’t work with the old BLS or Dark Magician ritual stuff
Idk what slacker ace is saying but they are copying Pokemon. In Japanese sets, it’s more weighted to get the full evolution line. So let’s say you get Charizard. Your box will likely have multiple Charmander and Charmeleon to help you play those cards, especially in a sealed event.
They are saying your pack of Lightsworn or Yugi themed cards will have cards related to the same thing, and not all completely random

And for the ALT arts I hope they start out with introducing different art styles (so far we have chibi, would be awesome to introduce realistic artwork or stylized unique styles other than Panty and Stocking)
The increased number of themes doesn’t necessarily mean more new archetypes. Could also mean more cards for each legacy support.

…well they were already not given me fun generic cards for casual play as is. At least this middle finger is actually acknowledged.
No the plus 1 pack isn’t anything new. It’s a box topper. An extra pack that has a holo from the set. They’re just giving it a new name, like the tournament pack that was just announced. Before, like in Dawn of Majesty you could get the starlight Stardust dragon. Since DUDE and DOOM, the pool increased to various related cards.
