Sweet! Retrains from one of my favorite Duels.

      • Justin Jones on June 13, 2024 1:09 am

I hope we finally Space Megatron. Keith did use it in the manga after all. It even appears in the artwork of Heavy Metal Raiders.

      • ... on June 13, 2024 1:58 am

I’ve always wondered if the name would be a copyright issue but they’ve changed the names of monsters before and it does have a cameo in the Keith field spell.

      • CornParade on June 13, 2024 4:20 am

I hope if Space Megatron gets released they give it a bonus effect to discard it to search Heavy Metal Raiders.

      • the wiiseone on June 13, 2024 12:35 pm

I also think we’re getting 7 completed support with the next wave of metal morph support aswell in the future
It only makes sense if they make a 7 completed retrain with a slot machine retrain aswell that supports both metal morph and 7 retrain

    2. N on June 12, 2024 11:58 pm

Shining Sarcophagus, Millennium Ankh, and now this.
Don’t you love when Konami creates an anime nostalgia series all centered around one specific mediocre card and after a wave or two, they don’t get anything again?

      • Bluetopia on June 13, 2024 12:03 am

Don’t forget King’s Sarcophagus too. I actually really like when they make archetypes focused on a specific monster or card.

      • N on June 13, 2024 12:08 am

I excluded that on purpose as it isn’t tied to the anime.

      • Bluetopia on June 13, 2024 12:13 am

Horus did appear in the anime though funny enough. though I guess it’s not really tied to the anime as you said. Like no one says woah is that Horus from that one GX episode the way they do about the others.

      • NotaLoli on June 13, 2024 12:17 am

Still much better than a better news than another generic loli deck for pedos (:

      • Justin Jones on June 13, 2024 1:15 am

And yet Toons a fan favorite deck hasn’t gotten anything since 2020. Not even Toon Gods or A Toon fusion.

      • ... on June 13, 2024 1:44 am

How many waves would be appropriate? If anything sometimes less is more. I was happy with Yubel up until they churned out a negate in all but name only. I’d never want to see say, cloudians, become a cesspool of endless bloat and grey slime like galaxy, heroes, samurai, etc.

      • Some Random Cosmic Horror on June 13, 2024 1:51 am

Can’t wait for the new Kaiba pile deck based around Interdimensional Matter Transporter… It’s a really lame way of makeing legacy support. Especially since Gandora, Gadget, Silent Magician/Swordsmen, Exodia, Red-Eyes, etc. could really use actual in theme support rather than trying to tie random garbage to the deck for muh anime nostalgia. I don’t mind the ocasional anime reference, as long as it doesn’t intrude on card design. The Morphtronic Earfon synchro comes to mind on how to do it well.

      • Justin Jones on June 13, 2024 1:51 am

Decks that haven’t gotten support in over a decade: Venom, Spider, Reactors, Iron Chain, Dark Scropion, Umbral Horror, Heraldic Beast, Ally of Justice , Star Seraph etc.

      • ... on June 13, 2024 2:03 am

^ Spiders lack a “this card is unaffected by the effect of Spider Web” clause. It was over before it even started. Not even venom and arcana force have it that bad.

      • KOJI on June 20, 2024 9:32 am

CURSED TWIN DOLL DECK COME ON xd

    3. A-A on June 13, 2024 12:00 am

The (special summon) like a type is new?

      • NeoArkadia on June 13, 2024 12:04 am

No, it’s a listing for basically a decade that the TCG just never adopted for whatever reason.

      • Bluetopia on June 13, 2024 12:07 am

No, I think they are called Nomi monsters though the tcg doesn’t really use it

    4. BM on June 13, 2024 12:02 am

25 years since Keith vs Jonouchi in the manga in March 1999.

    5. JohnYugioh on June 13, 2024 12:03 am

Is this the support for Red-Eyes that people expected?

Or is it a case of THE POTENTIAL being for nothing?

      • N on June 13, 2024 12:22 am

Red-Eyes has regurgitated nostalgia forever and Konami has no clue what to do with it aside from that. These cards could have easily been released in 2016 or 2017 along with the Gemini/Equip support.

      • Bruno Santo on June 13, 2024 12:27 am

The funny thing is that Rush’s Red-Eyes is a kind of Shining Sarcophagus or Millennium Ankh: a bunch of Cards/Monsters tied to a Duelist/Duel focused on supporting a Deck (Red-Eyes/Meteor Dragon in this case)

      • Weeevil on June 13, 2024 12:40 am

I think Red-Eyes would do well with a Flame Swordsman type treatment of having the equip/fusion spell route

      • Scoish V Maloish on June 13, 2024 2:16 am

This isn’t Red-Eyes support. The same way the Red-Eyes zombies are support for something else that just borrows the monster. Konami hates Red-Eyes.

      • Legend on June 13, 2024 3:36 am

Nah Konami loves Red-eyes, just not as playable deck 🙂

    6. Gate on June 13, 2024 12:03 am

Honestly, I’m just happy to get red-eyes burn support again.

      • The one on June 13, 2024 1:17 pm

Its burn support, but not red-eyes support

      • Stardust on June 24, 2024 1:26 pm

Their most recent support is RE soul, but his effect only loosely tied to the deck. Only good as fusion fodder for now lol

    7. TG on June 13, 2024 12:11 am

Bore is right. These are incredibly boring, like most forced DM support.

    8. ScionStorm on June 13, 2024 12:12 am

So is Heavy Metal King the last card in AC24?

      • Yugi on June 13, 2024 12:14 am

        I truly hope so

      • N on June 13, 2024 12:19 am

Maybe, but it wouldn’t be compatible with Reinforced Metalmorph which is the whole point of this theme to begin with, so there would be no point.

      • ScionStorm on June 13, 2024 12:39 am

N, you seem to have a very rigid, limited imagination.

      • N on June 13, 2024 12:45 am

I don’t doubt Heavy Metal King might be printed but if it were, it cannot be compatible with an upcoming card nor mention it by name.

      • NeoArkadia on June 13, 2024 1:30 am

Probably not, as they don’t print cards for new themes ahead of that theme in quite that way.

You’re more likely to get a Space Megatron that can search Metalmorphs.

Heavy Metal King is more likely to be a follow up card in October so it can reference “Enhanced Metalmorph”.

      • N on June 13, 2024 1:35 am

Space Megatron was only used in the manga though so maybe in this year’s Premium Pack?

      • DrakeyC on June 13, 2024 11:25 am

        It should be

      • Ztar on June 13, 2024 11:56 am

Maybe but they’d probably want to introduce a retrain of Musician King to pair with it so idk.

    9. Alester on June 13, 2024 12:15 am

Red-eyes is going to eat GOOD this year man

      • TommG on June 13, 2024 12:41 am

I hope for some new support and new extra deck bosses

    10. LucaZERO on June 13, 2024 12:21 am

Was hoping they would go full barrel dragon

      • HFIL on June 13, 2024 1:11 am

        Maybe one day.

    11. Justin Jones on June 13, 2024 1:01 am

I hope one day we could get more support for Reactors. Maybe a field spell that helps summon there boss monster much easier.

    12. Logic Bomb on June 13, 2024 1:14 am

You’re not playing the og metalmorph for reasons I don’t think I need to explain. Time Engine isn’t very good either. All in all, it’s an interesting set of cards that might be used in some engine…not sure what engine though.

      • Superbar on June 13, 2024 1:48 am

Yes I will play the original metalmorph and idc how old it is. I can still win with it.

      • Name on June 13, 2024 3:12 am

OG Metalmorph can still be played as one of, tho. Especially now when it’s searchable – getting over your opponent’s big monsters in battle will never be useless. Rare Metalmorph on the other side is kinda meh – can target only machines, the ATK boost is less cool and once per turn protection from targeting spells is such a nothing effect.

      • HFIL on June 13, 2024 3:13 pm

@Name You can if ya want to, but you’ll definitely find that battle traps aren’t very good, because they are supposed to be a surprise, but if you can search it, no one is falling for it. Maybe if you could activate it same turn, but you can’t.

    13. RyuuGaSaiko on June 13, 2024 1:27 am

      VERY interesting.

    14. ... on June 13, 2024 1:35 am

Still need an actual spell version of mimic illusionist (missed opportunity to make it illusion type) but I could settle for pendulum versions of it and time wizard. There’s only so much you can do emulate the flavor when the ocg doesn’t have a physical/magic attack split, thus the focus on anti-spell stuff and…burn? Sure. The anime didn’t explain that the weakness of the high atk heavy machines was their poor agility. Anyway, the metalized stuff weren’t physical cards so I’d be all for giving them a violet border and calling it a day. In retrospect there should’ve been a separate type of effect monster that goes in the extra deck that have unique conditions e.g. great moth.

    15. Superbar on June 13, 2024 1:45 am

No way to summon the original easier and give them better effects. Love the metal morph support and retains but I wanted the original REBMD and Metalzoa to be helped too…

    16. Pot the Trick on June 13, 2024 1:47 am

Seems like it’d lose to a single Kaiju, but otherwise solid. Cool retrains.

    17. Oshawott on June 13, 2024 1:59 am

Half of the cards we get these days are cheap nostalgia bait/retrains that Konami only supports for a set or two before moving on. It’s getting a bit stale.

      • Scoish V Maloish on June 13, 2024 2:21 am

We’re probably gonna grow old and die before they learn their lesson or decide to change

      • Gnarz on June 13, 2024 2:27 am

For some nostalgia bait stuff, this is surprisingly OK, gives you an Omni negate for a normal summon, basically normal Alistair with slight differences, can imagine it being usable somewhere

    18. Trunks Strife on June 13, 2024 2:11 am

wonder if we’ll see more Satellites from GX

    19. ... on June 13, 2024 2:13 am

Misread that spell, putting og REBMD in your hand sure would be awkward eh? Again, which is why it should be in the extra deck. No joke, that’s what I used Yado Karu for in EDS whenever I drew it in that ancient era. My only gripe is og metalmorph doesn’t you let you change the monster’s position upon activation which is how Flame Swordsman got nuked.

    20. Jolu on June 13, 2024 2:19 am

      Labrynth Bystial n Metalmorhp

    21. Planc on June 13, 2024 2:31 am

Even metalmorph getting a refrain!?Where is my dinos retrfrain konami ?

      • NeoArkadia on June 13, 2024 2:52 am

We got those like last year with Two-Headed King Rex and Transcendosaur.

      • Justin Jones on June 13, 2024 2:55 am

Shoot we still need retrains of Panik, Bonz and Lumis/Umbra decks.

      • ScionStorm on June 13, 2024 4:50 am

Bandit Keith gets 7 cards while Rex Raptor gets 3. :/

      • Stardust Dragon on July 9, 2024 12:17 pm

Because Rex Raptor is a minor villain and forgettable compared to Bandit Keith lol

    22. Paradigm on June 13, 2024 3:02 am

This might be me being pedantic, but I actually don’t agree with the name ‘Metal Copycat’. I get that the monster is an obvious retrain of Copycat, but it uses a forced reading of the word ‘Illusionist’ vs. the original Copycat not doing that. This means that, in the (admittedly highly unlikely) event that Copycat were to ever become an archetype, this new card would not be a part of it as it *technically* isn’t a “Copycat” monster, as archetype references never go off of kanji alone.

It’s an awkward situation due to Copycat being a somewhat iconic card, but since when were naming shenanigans in YGO ever not awkward.

    23. Meth on June 13, 2024 3:07 am

Wait…THIS IS…This is Lair of darkness support!!!

    24. Why on June 13, 2024 3:37 am

With the field spell heavy metal raiders it can be a crazy deck. I expect a retrain of slot machine. The artwork of the card is anazing.

    25. Naransolongo_BB on June 13, 2024 3:51 am

This seems like a strong splashable engine for any Dragon decks (though I have no idea how good it’d be for Red-eyes I do want to learn it sometime). A “free” omni-negate in Red-eyes Full Metal summoned by tributing either a leftover card or an already spent negate isn’t something to laugh at.

The Fiend side seems a slight bit weaker but if the deck can already set up some negates then a pop when your opponent does anything up to twice is still pretty strong too. Might have to test this out

    26. Umbra on June 13, 2024 4:38 am

Hmmmm sad, red-eyes dont get a New Form like Zoa … would merched it better in to the aktual Chaos of Red-Eyes Sub Themes xD but i like it … a lot o.o

    27. Fumetsusozo on June 13, 2024 5:26 am

Oh sweet! I had daydreamed before about getting remakes of the Metalmorph card themed monsters, and they finally did it! Pretty hype if you ask me! :3

    28. Aussie Riolu on June 13, 2024 5:53 am

Metal Copycat can make itself LIGHT Fiend, so full Fiendsmith combo?

    29. Seyphos on June 13, 2024 6:48 am

I think to know, but just for be sure : can you tribute an opponent’s monster for summon with Enhanced Metalmorph ?

      • Naransolongo_BB on June 13, 2024 7:08 am

It says Tribute, so it’s only monsters on your field. If a thing would let you tribute opponent’s monsters it would specify that in the card text (such as Kaijus, Soul Crossing, etc.)

    30. Donny on June 13, 2024 8:31 am

Such a random choice for new cards

Meanwhile ARCANA FORCE is tier ZZZZZZZ with absolute no decent support

    31. Ztar on June 13, 2024 11:52 am

These retrains are pretty dope. Seem hard to justify in a competitive deck but maybe in a deck that doesn’t need its normal summon they could run these as an engine. Especially since they activate via a trap so they don’t care about summon restrictions as much

    32. Federplayer on June 13, 2024 12:04 pm

Not competitive but I didn’t expect less power than this, they’re decent. However, I feel like if they had come out about 10 years ago, they would’ve been awesome in a pendulum dominated environment with few bosses over 3000 ATK.

    33. M on June 13, 2024 4:32 pm

Red eyes, metal zoa, and time engine just have really sick artwork

    34. MD stands for Maxx "C" Duel on June 14, 2024 3:56 am

Let me guess the weird effects pf metalzoa that can either be Normal without tributing or Special Summon is a gimmick to deal with MaxxC, right?

    35. BrickBrack on June 14, 2024 7:40 am

Ok, now bring back Rex and Insector please.

    36. Stardust on June 24, 2024 1:29 pm

Nice, at least Metalmorph is useable, since Metal Copycat can search it, but probadly meme at best. But, hey! Not everything has to be meta anyway
