shutting down chain blocking is a very interesting floodgate effect indeed, this support is pretty good.

Am I having a reading comprehension failure or does SPIA have a profound hatred of, among the various things it more clearly condemns, SEGOC? Like, will it force the opponent to pick and choose what one Trigger Effect they fire off at a time, or does multiple Trigger Effects activating in a way that would form a chain slip through the web somehow?

      • Leo on January 9, 2026 8:02 am

Yup, you are correct. The opponent can’t chain their own effects to another one of their own effects any more, so it stops SEGOC. This is a pretty insane Dracotail counter, among other relevant decks!

      • Narf on January 9, 2026 8:04 am

You are reading correctly, SPIA hates SEGOC and anything we’d call a trigger chain. Dracotail fuses something? They have to choose which singular trigger effect is the most valuable. Honestly, the 2 monsters absolutely read like targeted Dracotail hate. And they for sure are!

      • Leo on January 9, 2026 8:11 am

@Narf They’re also targeted Radiant Typhoon hate, since the Level 9 shuts down Mandate’s negate effect! I like this design – it’s extremely effective against the current meta while not completely shutting down everything else.

      • Narf on January 9, 2026 11:35 am

@Leo yeah, that’s true, but even besides that. Radiant Typhoon works a lot oft trigger effects and you can’t do your best combos without reaching at least chain link 3. You can at times go without resetting your stuff, but that still hurt their economy, which can start a bit fragile.

Speaking of setting spells/traps, you can just pop the spells/traps with the new level 1 while further toolboxing into usable bodies like Asta.Pixea for example.

    4. Narf on January 9, 2026 8:01 am

Those cards go hard against decks like Dracotail, Radiant Typhoon, Maliss or even Labrynth. You got a trigger chain ready? No you don’t!

But even besides that, those cards are crazy due to how reactive the game has become. The level 1 will be a bit shaky in some formats, but the level 9 should almost always be good.

The spell isn’t bad either, a bit too narrow and can be dead turn 1 if you draw the field spell, but the GY effect is extremely strong.

I like that the spell now gives you the option of playing fewer than 3 Field spells (which you were forced to play so far due to the random nature of the monsters’ search effects), which also reduces the chances of it being dead.

@Leo, I agree. Keeping Enneaopolis at 1 or 2 (if you fear it getting banished) is something I think is legitimately useful and appreciated for Enneacraft. I’m also quite fond of the ability to reset your Flips, considering none of ’em are HOPT.

        No?

Enneacraft has a certain potential. While it is extremely gimmiky, it is good at shutting down stuff, and especially in these days, thats extremely powerfull

Holy crap these are good. The deck is now at least a consistent threat at worst, lethal at best for specific decks. I’m honestly amazed they made the lv 9.

Atilε.SPIA is exactly what the deck needed. Chain-blocking was such a huge weakness of the archetype.

The Pendulum deck is the best Phantom Revengers archetype.

      Illiterates in shambles.
