Episode 106: ママはニャンデスター – Mama wa Nyandesutā
(The Mom Is Nyandestar)
Yudias and co. visit the Pawtner Planet in search of a method to revive the Velgearians. When they investigate some ruins, they hear a voice saying “Mommy!” The source of the voice turns out to be a Darkman called Bleu Air, who is specifically addressing Nyandestar. Nyandestar refuses to accept that she’s the mom, however, and begins a Duel!

The arc just started, and Bridge likes to subvert expectations by introducing new plot twists in the second half. We are still in the first half here, so I would wait until we know more about the plot before jumping to conclusions.
Remember the last arc shifted from saving the Velgearians and the surviving cast living out their lives however they can, to Monster Reborn and the Ohdos fracturing apart over their irreconcilable differences.
This GT space tour can easily be subverted especially with the Darkmen having a loose connection to Yuga, and Damamu now suddenly multiplying.

I wouldn’t ask too much of a well written story from an anime for children, they just need any excuse to see a duel
