A majestic white serpent that exudes an awe-inspiring atmosphere, it guards the Jinja where a Biwa is enshrined. The jewel on its forehead is said to embody the wishes of “Happiness”, “Good FOrtune” and “Wealth”, and it gazes upon those that approach it as if sizing them up.
