Really? You’re asking us to wait for my opponent to attack before I can use my flip effects? Man, other than Book of Taiyou, how long are they going to stall until they speed up Flip Summons?
Delayed gratification is kind of the point. We already have a sped-up version called normal summon.
@Warmth Hero Bundleman Neo Really? Normal Summons is considered the faster Flip Summons?
What have we become?
Mimighoul indirect support?
looks like it
Funny, if you use this to bounce back the opponent’s mimighoul they summoned on your field, they can’t do it again, that summon on your field is hopt.
I could see Mimighoul being cheeky and using this on a monster they’d forced Set with one of their other cards, thinking about it, but they probably don’t want to use the on-attack flipper since Mimighouls don’t go off in the Battle Phase . . . except on one of the monsters on their own field if the opponent tried forcing one face-down (either so that they didn’t have to put up with the boosted ATK from Dungeon on something, or in hopes of the Mimighoul duelist having to trigger their own monster in the opponent’s favor).
All in all, probably not their first choice for shenanigans, but a side option to address certain flavors of tomfoolery . . . including, per Anonymous’s comment, possibly a mirror match.
Not really. You don’t want to set a Mimighoul on your field. Its first effect contradicts how they work.
You’re Mom, I hope you’re replying to Zeru with that and not to me, because if you are replying to me with that I’ll ask that you reread my post since at no point in it do I advocate using it on one’s own Mimighoul.
There’s a decent laundry list of things Mimighoul COULD do with the card — I think I like best the idea of bouncing something of my opponent’s that I forced face-down with Mimighoul Room, so that my opponent has to choose between leaving their card bounced or summoning something they can’t flip up that turn (leaving them stuck, or doubly stuck for that matter, under Dungeon) — but it’s probably not something I’d main in Mimighoul myself since, of course, Mimighoul is the rare Flip Monster Deck that doesn’t want any face-down monsters on their field . . .
. . . siding it, though, that I do have to think about. Pulling this out in a mirror match to bounce back something my opponent gave me might be a funny joke.
Card’s pretty bad
Of course it is not a bad spell. Just look at the face of that goblin up front.
The first of the three Deck Build offthemes, Enneacraft
“WAIT, my bad! I set the wrong monster! Here lemme just-“
I love the art, the simplicity is giving LOB and MRD vibes
a man of culture I see
It’s a reference to Major Riot, rather obscure card from PSV.
Reminds me of a simpler time…
A time when both players were allowed to play the game…
Instead of 1 player playing Solitaire for 20 minutes just to make it so the other player isn’t allowed to play at all.
This is the opposite camera angle from Major Riot, a shot taken just seconds before Major Riot’s art.
The essential allowances you to trade out Set Monsters. For instance you can exchange a low-level “Man-Eater Ant” for a high level “Pot Of The Forbidden”. Furthermore, it can act as a stop-defense. I can see this card for Flip decks like “Shaddoll”.
Love how the card references Major Riot
The UDE rulings and erratas for that thing are a rollercoaster of emotion.
This is for enneacrack
I love these cards that aren’t part of any archetype.
Well technically its part of the flip deck, because of what it does
I like the speciffic working of this card
ok ok ok, i dig it, niche protection effect and battle protection and both effects can be used in the same turn. not bad, not bad, not great obviously, but not bad is good enough.
Looking at this, part of me thinks this’ll be sorta nice for Subterror, since it can be used to bounce a Fiendess to summon a(nother, given she likely Set herself to summon one in the first place) Behemoth, and the on-attack flip this card does can be good with something like Speleogeist or Ultramafus, saves a use of Final Battle for something else (like ensuring Speleogeist can’t get negated, piling on more ATK, or flipping another Behemoth at a different time), and isn’t stuck on the field to get negated (and can dodge SOME negation effects, like ones that only negate a Spell/Trap Card activation and not a Spell/Trap Card or effect’s activation).
Actually, one more thing; this is able to be milled by Phospheroglacier, so even though it isn’t searchable in the deck for its on-field effect, the GY effect can basically be set up with purely in-house methods. Nice!
Perfect for enneacraft after the level 1 searches for a monster on the opponents turn
nope because its say return set facedown, not faceup monster
