Yesterday i was thinking on why we don’t hace any real ritual beast support since 2013 xd
This is amazing
ritual beasts weren’t even out in 2013? lmfao
Ok, now we just have (gasps) LOD (Legacy Of Destruction), The two sided pack, 25 anniversary pack, and who knows what else!
Premium Pack 2024, Promotion Pack 2024, the remaining Quarter Century Duelist Box cards (both new and reprints), next month’s V-JUMP promo announcement, and Legacy of Destruction. QCDB should be the next major reveal.
There are also the remaining alt artworks in here.
We also have the usual Wednesday 9 PM JST Twitter reveal later today.
What I meant was The Quarter Century collection , Side:Hope and side: Pride packs, although we probably will have to wait a bit longer for the first reveals from that
I know very little about Ritual Beast. Is this good?
It was meta a long time ago ( around nekroz era if i remember well) now its garbage and this support will not help them out to shine again
I don’t know anything about the past Ritual Beast cards, but the artwork for these looks really nice.
Now there are a lot of cards that specifically put “Extra Deck” in the text. Is Konami going to give us a new rule regarding the Extra Deck? Now you can only choose non-Extra Deck cards if you return that target to your hand.
Ulti-Reirautari specifies returning to hand or ED because it has a “then” conjunction. If it just said return to hand and you had targeted an ED monster, they would return to ED but then the rest of the effect wouldn’t work, meaning it wouldn’t combo properly with Rampengu’s effect.
It’s got nothing to do with effects that return to hand suddenly not working on ED monsters, and they definitely aren’t changing that ruling.
Disappointingly bad.
Okay, hear this from someone who actually played the Deck the last few years.
Ritual Beasts are in a very awkward spot right now. Uninterrupted they can set up a very competent board including multiple boardwipes and/or negates, but they’ll fold to pretty much any interaction whatsoever, not even accounting for the non-existent going 2nd plan.
At first glance, without much testing:
– Lara doubles as both an Extender through interruption as well as turning Cannahawk into a 1 card combo. Being both Beast and Tamer is also a nice bonus.
– Nochiudrago offers targeting protection mid-combo and extends through removal, even enabling some more Cross-Sheep lines, similar to Vicious Astraloud in Mannadium.
– Reirautari I don’t see an immediate use for, but it might make Bond be a viable one-of again. Screams Anti-Infernoid though, so that’s something I guess?
– Inheritance is the obligatory consistency boost the Deck always wanted, while simultaniously allowing them to hit important ATK benchmarks without relying on Apelio. Being continuous obviously also makes Droplet an appealing main-deck inclusion.
tl;dr: It’s exactly the kind of support Ritual Beasts want and need to further and support their existing gameplan, enough to get a few tops here and there, but not really a meta contender.
These cards are really good holy. imagine outing ulti tamahawk + ulti reiraut and untargetable tower.
i like this type of card, that not read “if/when = NEGATE”. Konami really thinking of actual interaction in the game.
Midriff should’ve been a type for more different type fun.
In retrospect there being more main deck tamers than beasts triggers my ocd. If you ignore the pendulums the reverse happens and the issue remains. Then you have a girl(s) that is also treated as a beast and can fuse with herself to become a beast rider which is its own can of worms. And the Naturia Gaiastrio can’t be material for his own fusion etc.
Why does every deck theme need to have a Link monster, Konami?
Malefic link monster when
