Apparently these Monsters were used for a Ritual Summon in DM’s Anime (unlike the previous Monsters which were focused on the Manga)
Curse of Dragon can be used as Fusion material in the GY for Battletested. While its Ritual effect is pretty meh for now, it works well with the low Level Ritual support engine from the SD.
Valkyrion can be summoned with Magnet Return, and the Magnet Warriors are all Level 4-8 making them useful as Ritual material.
It’s interesting that Dedicated Curse of Dragon encourages you to use Rush’s Gaia with Dark Magician for a sort of Ritual/Fusion Deck combo (thanks to Dark Cavalry)
On the other hand, Dedicated Protorion, while able to recover any Ritual Spell Card, currently only has one clear target for Ritual Summon in Rush Duels: Magician of Black Chaos.
It’s funny that Dark Paladin hasn’t received anything yet that would help bring that Fusion Monster onto the Field easily.
I quite like how these reference how Yugi used them to Ritual Summon in the Anime. The Valkyrion one in particular gets me nostalgic.
Still expecting Gishki Chain to eventually be ported over as a Legend monster. Has basically the same effect as the new Curse of Dragon here.
Better references than Gold Sarc that’s for sure. The Rush team are clearly putting a lot of love into the first Ritual deck between these and the manga references we had beforehand.
