Nice make king beetle have synergy with ninsect(first one is a ninsect in beetle’s skin, 0 useful for king)
BUUUT is very nice
despite being clearly related to Atlas Combat Beetle and Diabolic King Beetle, these cards don’t actually. support them really.
at least the first one doesn’t.
The second one does. Atlas and Diabolic are both DARK as well, Utsusemi is a Level 1, and Diabolic King Beetle wants as many Level 1s in the GY as possible.
Despite these two beneficial additions to their gameplay, Chaos Ninsect is still too inconsistent and underpowered to run pure. King Beetles is also too inconsistent to run alongside them due to it needing Level 1s, though Cocoon makes it easier to run a Beetle package in Scarechair or Wight.
I think more practically, Insect pile appreciates easier access to Delirium Rebirth (and indirectly Ageha to get there). Any cards that can easily draw through the Deck faster for Rebirth and Ageha are appreciated. Of the two, Cocoon Beetle is probably better in that regard since it capitalizes on your brick Ageha in hand, with an optional mill that Dramoth doesn’t have (though Dramoth and Quixotic outclass Cocoon in convenience and flexibility). There are far too few DARK Insects in the game to even consider playing Mulliness outside of pure Chaos Ninsect, and pure already has access to Aionchuu which is much easier to use.

It’s funny that I saw a few days ago an English’s Opening for Rush’s Packs and it mentioned that, since they’re supporting Insect, it would be nice to see more Beetles (especially the one that appears in Intruding Beetles)
And well, that person’s wish came true.
Both are pretty good for DARK Insect, but they’re a bit inconsistent with the Deck’s original strategy: being an Engine for Normal Monsters.

Could be a big stretch, but do you think the “ミュリ” in “ミュリネス” may possibly take inspiration from the “myr” in “myrmex”, a Greek word and genus of beetles, and also the mythological figure Myrina?
If so, the card name could probably be rendered “Myriness Power Beetle.
I mean, that wouldn’t be entirely unreasonable no.
It seems related to Saturn King Beetle and Atlas Combat Beetle, so I think that could indeed be what the designers were going for since they’d all have the names of Greek/Roman mythological figures.
