Strategic Summary:
Gather the Spellcasting nomads, as this Witchcrafter build is ready to create a tapestry… or a golem? This CDP features the Witchcrafter archetype, a theme of Spellcaster monsters that serve Witchcrafter Vice-Madame, a powerful Fusion Monster that can quickly snowball your advantage into an avalanche. You see, each time you use a Spell Card or effect, or a non-Fusion Spellcaster effect, Vice-Madame can add another beneficial effect to the chain, such as Special Summoning a Witchcrafter monster or destroying a card on the field. While Witchcrafter Confusion Confession exists to have in-theme access to Vice-Madame, today I’ve turned to the Albaz storyline and for a bit of Fusion support. Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous is the first of a few LIGHT Spellcasters with equal ATK and DEF, and she carries a Quick Effect to Fusion Summon any Level 8 or higher Fusion. If you don’t need her to access Vice-Madame, you can also summon Granguignol the Dusk Dragon, which in turn can send either Predaplant Chimerafflesia or El-Shaddoll Apkallone to tutor a Fusion Spell like Super Polymerization, or a Fusion Trap such as Shaddoll Schism. Either way, one Fusion can snowball into another, just like the Witchcrafter gameplan.
But Cartesia isn’t the only LIGHT Spellcaster along for the ride. Guiding Quem, the Virtuous makes an appearance in today’s build, giving you representation as both a Despia and Dogmatika monster, as well as a way to get your monsters that mention Fallen of Albaz into the GY. Sure, this includes Cartesia, but it also includes The Golden Swordsoul, which can banish itself from the GY to Special Summon a LIGHT Spellcaster with equal ATK/DEF from the GY rather easily. It’s the combination of all of these effects, plus the potential for the Spellbook Spell Cards to chain in succession that gives this deck all of its power. If your opponent can’t stop the initial onslaught of Spellcasters, this deck can and will begin gaining more card advantage before it truly becomes unstoppable. Take a walk on the Spell side, with this unique Witchcrafter build!
