The strategy that never dies, back again.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s Rogue Deck Profile attempts to highlight a more competitive take on the Tearlaments/Ishizu strategy than you’d typically find here on my channel, but nevertheless, I’m really excited to showcase it today. The Tearlaments/Ishizu strategy aims to mill as many cards as possible to the GY, triggering the effects of either Tearlaments Scheiren, Tearlaments Havnis, or Tearlaments Merrli to Fusion Summon using material from your GY. With the help of King of the Swamp, you’ll be able to Fusion Summon impressive Fusion bosses such as Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World, Tearlaments Rulkallos, or even Millennium-Eyes Restrict. To facilitate mass milling, the Tearlaments theme offers Tearlaments Scream, a Continuous Spell that mills 3 whenever a monster is summoned while you control a Tearlaments monster. If that isn’t enough, I’ve turned to Diviner of the Herald to send a copy of either Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard or Agido the Ancient Sentinel to the GY, and mill an additional 5 cards.
Beyond that core combination of archetypes, you’ll find a few other themes at play in the build today that can benefit from the GY. Whether it is the GY effects of Helshaddoll Hollow or Shaddoll Beast (which also are convenient Fusion Materials for El Shaddoll Winda), Destiny HERO – Malicious and Destiny HERO – Denier, or even the GY effect of either Trivikarma and Interrupted Kaiju Slumber, there are plenty of ways to take and make advantage from all of the cards you can mill to the GY. Don’t let the increasing number of cards featured on the TCG’s F/L list stop you from trying out this strategy – it can still be a force to be reckoned with, even after so many direct hits it has accumulated over the years!

I wonder what your take on either a Tearlaments/Lightsworn deck or a Tearlaments/Lightsworn/Chaos deck
maybe a larger focus on the two lightsword monsters that can only be summoned when milled, and Felis being a tuner means you could probably bring some Synchro to the party. Perhaps a clever use of Demotion or other level altering to bring a tuner/non-tuner to the right level for some of the Chaos Synchros
I’ll look into potentially building something like that. Since I just covered Tear, it might be a bit before I’m willing to come back to them, but I’ll test out some builds nonetheless!
