Strategic Summary:
*Insert iconic, trademarked wheezing sounds here* On today’s episode of CDPs, we’re taking another stab at the new Ryzeal theme debuting in Deck Build Pack: Crossover Breakers. If you missed my first ‘pure’ take on the deck, be sure to check it out here: https://youtu.be/feDbhun5iKA. In short, this LIGHT/Pyro and FIRE/Thunder theme loves to spam R4NK Xyz Monsters, giving your board a flood of potential material, begging you to do something with it. So that’s exactly what I chose to do today, make Time Thief monsters!
The Time Thief archetype consists of DARK Psychic and DARK Machine monsters that revolve around Special Summoning Level 4 monsters and attaching/detaching cards as Xyz Material. For example, Time Thief Reoder can attach the top card of the opponent’s deck during each Standby Phase, then it can apply up to 3 effects by detaching the appropriate cardtype of material. With the sheer number of material offered by the Ryzeal, I can even justify running Time Thief Double Barrel now, an alternative to Redoer, except it can only apply up to 3 of its effects in response to an opponent’s activated card or effect. The last Xyz Monster of note is Time Thief Perpetua, which can attach a Time Thief card from your deck to any other Xyz Monster. This combines quite nicely with Ryzeal Plug-In (YGOrg Translation), as Plug-In can attach any Ryzeal card from your deck to a R4NK Xyz Monster, giving your Time Thief Xyz Monsters access to any effect you’d like. This also has the side effect of turning on the GY effect of Time Thief Power Reserve, giving you a non-targeting banish of a card on the field just by controlling an Xyz Monster with both a Spell and Trap as material! Enjoy this thrilling combination of space-time and real-time engines, with Ryzeal Time Thief!

I wonder… One of my decks is a Dragonmaid deck with a Dragunity engine (mainly for getting out Dragunity Synchros) and one that does not have any of the Dragunity Winged Beasts (there are 5 that I have in my own deck, and none of them require Winged Beast non-tuners).
I would like to see you make your own Dragonmaid/Dragunity deck, but only after the new Dragonmaid cards drop for the Trinity Box set. Or perhaps you have a different series/archetype you’d like to pair with it
I’ll definitely be looking into Dragonmaid post their new support; hopefully they’re as good as (or better than) the orcust ones
The deck seems solid, maybe consider adding the mathmech becuase, that can search any lv4 monster or any spell/trap in game. With the right amount of materials.
