CDP: Psychic Railway w/Machina, ft. Psychic Processor and Psychic Arsenal

Strategic Summary:

Welcome to another CDP featuring new cards, this time shining a spotlight on Psychic Processor and Psychic Arsenal, two new TCG World Premiere cards that can support the Machine Type! Psychic Processor is up first, able to banish itself to Special Summon up to 2 Machine, Psychic, or Cyberse monsters from the hand, granting them the ability to attack directly. Additionally, during the Standby Phase after it is banished, it returns to your hand to use again. Psychic Arsenal, on the other hand, can target a Psychic monster to add a Machine of the same Attribute, but higher Level. In here, you’ll be targeting Processor to grab Machina Unclaspare, which can then be Special Summoned from the hand, and then sends your Machina Citadel or Machina Ruinforce from the Deck to the GY! Finally, to support this Psychic engine, of course three copies of Emergency Teleport make an appearance!

Now, onto the Railway! The Railway theme consists of various Level 10 Machine monsters that aim to Xyz Summon and roll right over the opponent. For a few examples, Heavy Freight Train Derricrane gets to Special Summon itself from the hand when an EARTH Machine is Summoned or Super Express Bullet Train can summon itself if you only control EARTH Machine monsters. The issue is, if you don’t get something to start your plays, these trains have a tendency to get stuck in your hand. So, this is where Processor shines, as getting two Machines out of your hand and onto the board will kickstart any of your combos, even if you don’t draw your copies of Revolving Switchyard. It also lets you run more Machine Type monsters that can’t Special Summon themselves from the hand, such as Scrap Recycler, Machina Metalcruncher, and my absolute favorite Train, Goldilocks the Battle Landscraper, which can eat cards on the field for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Finally, a few words on the win condition – your Level 10 Xyz monsters. At this point, everyone should know about Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max, as it can detach a material to inflict 2000 to the opponent. You also have Skypalace Gangaridai, which can destroy a card your opponent controls and inflict 1000 to them. Then there’s Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe, which can overlay on top of either, gain absurd amounts of ATK, and attack multiple times in a Battle Phase. The Railway theme also has a new Xyz at its disposal, Decanelogue – Valdrath (YGOrg Translation), which can negate the activation of a card or effect, then detach an extra material to destroy another card on the field. Plus, it also destroys a card when it attacks, as well as when it is destroyed. It’s basically the Baronne of the Xyz pool, and the Railway strategy can make great use of that. Ride the rails under the watchful conductor skills of the Psychic WP cards!
