Leverage Nekroz of Sophia as a control engine? Bet.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the return of the new Terminal World 2 Nekroz Support to my channel, and this time we’re dialing back the Nekroz and dialing up the control. You see, Nekroz of Sophia doubles as a hand-trap, able to be discarded with any Nekroz Spell during either player’s Main Phase 1 to prevent your opponent from Special Summoning from the Extra Deck for the phase. With the help of Nekroz Divinemirror (YGOrg Translation), this is extremely easy to pull off, as a standard Avance, Swordsman of the Nekroz (YGOrg Translation) combo can lead into setting it up, simply because Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians can Special Summon back Emilia, Dance Priestess of the Nekroz (YGOrg Translation) during the opponent’s turn to grab the other required element of your Sophia lock combo.
Alright, this is all well and good, but how does just locking Extra Deck summons win you the duel? Well the Horus theme serves as the second half of today’s build, and I’m actually making full use of all of the free advantage this theme gives. Since you can summon back 4 free monsters every turn, each turn you delay your opponent from their big combos with Sophia gets you that much closer to out-advantaging them and achieving victory. Plus, since the Horus monsters are all Level 8, you can even use one to Ritual Summon a banished Nekroz of Brionac with Divinemirror to spin back any monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck during your Main Phase 2. Hope you enjoyed this build, and check back next week for my last CDP of the year with my second take on the new Fabled support!

Has anyone tried cooking with the spellcaster R8NK. It’s pretty busted but not sure how to cook with it outside an Endymi9n deck
It’s just very reactive in anything that doesn’t naturally build it’s own Counters to leverage. I think that’s my main concern with it. It’s cool card design for sure, but not proactive enough to fully build around IMO. Also, Endymion doesn’t accommodate lv8 mons all that well. At least those were the concerns I ran into when I sat down to try and do something with him.
Nekroz of Brionac is not a Quick Effect. You might want to remove that section that states that.
Oops – put ‘their’ instead of ‘your’. Fixed, thank you!
