Rituals from 4 archetypes converge!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome to today’s CDP, this time primarily featuring the Nekroz and Drytron archetypes. The Nekroz theme primarily consists of WATER Ritual monsters that carry two effects – one that can be activated while they’re in the hand, and the other while they’re on the field. For example, Nekroz of Brionac can be discarded to tutor any Nekroz Ritual monster, Nekroz of Clausolas can be discarded to tutor any Nekroz Spell/Trap, and Nekroz of Unicore can be discarded to recover a Nekroz card from your GY. On the field, certain Nekroz monsters carry extremely powerful effects, such as Nekroz of Trishula which banishes 1 card from the opponent’s hand, field and GY, or Nekroz of Areadbhair, which can tribute a monster to negate the activation of a monster effect and banish that monster. Supporting this cast of rituals in this build is Shruit, Strategist of the Nekroz, who can be used as the entire requirement for a Nekroz Ritual Summon. It also happens to tutor a Warrior Nekroz monster when tributed, which includes Brionac, Trishula, Clausloas, or Areadbhair. For the Ritual Spells, the Nekroz have three options – Nekroz Kaledioscope which uses a Tribute from the Extra Deck, Nekroz Cycle which can Ritual Summon a Nekroz in your GY, or Nekroz Mirror, which can banish ‘tributes’ from your GY. Either way, they all have a GY effect to tutor another Nekroz S/T by banishing themselves and another Nekroz monster.
Now the second archetype in play here is the Drytron, a LIGHT Machine archetype that revolves around their Effect Monsters. Each can be Special Summoned from the hand or GY by tributing another Drytron or Ritual Monster from your hand or field, plus they also give you an extra bonus for doing so. For example, Drytron Alpha Thuban tutors any Ritual Monster, Drytron Zeta Aldhibah tutors any Ritual Spell, and Drytron Gamma Eltanin Special Summons another Drytron monster with 2000 ATK from your GY. In any case, the Drytron monsters prevent you from Special Summoning monsters which can be Normal Summoned/Set, but thankfully, the Nekroz archetype really doesn’t do that. What Drytron uniquely brings to the table is its Ritual Spell, Meteonis Drytron, which Ritual Summons any Ritual from the hand/GY by tributing Machine monsters whose total ATK equals or exceeds the ATK of the Ritual Monster. If you want to be creative, you can even use the Xyz Materials of Drytron Mu Beta Fafnir for a Ritual Summon! The other unique aspect of Drytron is that it floods the field with material for all Extra Deck summons, such as bringing out the new Dyna Mond (YGOrg Translation), a Link-2 monster that directly supports Ritual Monsters in a big way, or the tried and true Cross-Sheep.
To help assist in the high cost of constantly tributing Ritual Monsters for Drytron summons/effects, I’m utilizing Cyber Angel Benten, as it tutors any Fairy when tributed, such as another copy of itself. The alternative option would be to tutor Diviner of the Herald, a Level 2 monster that also adds consistency by sending Herald of the Arc Light from your Extra Deck to the GY, which then tutors a Ritual Monster or Spell of its own. The final archetype represented here is the Magikey, as Magikey Mechmusket – Batosbuster. He is a Level 4 Machine Ritual Monster with 2000 ATK, perfectly summoned using 1 Drytron Tribute and Meteonis, and he just happens to tutor Magikey Unlocking when Ritual Summoned, giving you the chance to negate a S/T. The ‘Machine’ part of Batosbuster is also important, as that lets you utilize Mu Beta Fafnir’s final effect to negate the activation of a S/T Card too! Did I mention that he is also a Tuner, giving you access to the normal Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier… for the lore of course. Ritual your way to the stars with the Drytron and the Nekroz!
