Strategic Summary:
Welcome to the third Type-centric CDP of the month, and this time we’re unlocking the Machines! I covered a similar strategy about three years ago, so if you’d like to check out the evolution since then, be sure to check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT7PmvtmZTk
This strategy aims to combine the best Machines together to overwhelm the opponent, so let’s talk about some of the boss options available today. I would be remiss to not start with Machina Ruinforce, a Level 10 DARK Machine that can negate the activation of an opponent’s activated card or effect during the Battle Phase, then it halves their LP for good measure. It even is easily summoned to your board by banishing Machines from your GY whose Levels total 12 or more, setting up its final effect to Special Summon up to banished 3 Machina monsters whose total Levels are 12 or less. Ensuring access to Ruinforce is the other Machina support cards, from the combo of Machina Gearframe and Machina Unclaspare or just the use of Machina Redeployment. Of course, the Machina also bring Machina Citadel to the party, for mass destruction when you need a real tank to roll in. All of these options are great, but I feared that they were not quite strong enough on their own, so let’s bring in the Infinitrack theme for reinforcement.
The Infinitrack archetype exists to support EARTH Machines of all shapes and sizes, but it’s particularly designed for Xyz Summoning. Take for example their latest addition, Infinitrack Road Roller, revives itself whenever any EARTH Machine is tributed or banished, giving you another Level 5 monster to play with. This often leads into the Xyz Summon of Infinitrack River Stormer, a R5NK Xyz Monster that can tutor any EARTH Machine. The Infinitrack also have two cards to ensure consistency: Infinitrack Harvester and Heavy Forward. Moving right along, since there are so many Machines at play, Therion “King” Regulus is an easy addition, tutored off of Qliphort Genius whenever you summon multiple Machines at the same time, such as via Ruinforce or Urgent Schedule, a great support card for the Type. The final Machine theme to make an appearance is Railway, commonly referred to as the Train theme as well. These Level 10 monsters grant access to powerful R10NK Xyz Monsters, as well as give you more forms of extending your plays as needed. Ride the rails to Revolution, with all of the Machines!

Think you could make a Mimighoul deck to help explain some things? Deck suggestions I’ve seen seem to think you can turn it into a full flip deck, but every part of my being looks at their effects and says “I do not want these on my side of the field without the archetype’s field spell”, leaving me with putting in ways to use them as quick as possible (Relinquished Anima, Slacker Magician/Downerd Magician/Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder, etc)
Also things like, “if they are flipped by being attacked, does their effects fire off before they would be destroyed, and if so would they summon themselves to your field by their effect, or still just be destroyed?” or “do they flip and trigger their effects if my opponent tries using them as tributes for a tribute summon, and if so, how do I stop them from doing so?”
Mimighoul is on my list to cover soon-ish!
That deck brick vs Aroma × Vaal… Oof!
